I stayed at this hotel in May, 2012, for one night as part of an Insight Vacation group tour. The consensus of our group of 38 people was that this was the least desirable hotel on the trip. However, we were there simply for dinner and overnight accommodations. Our dinner was fine and breakfast was the usual fare for a large group. The staff was pleasant and the scenery beautiful.

The Colleverde Park Hotel in Agrigento is certainly well-located for visiting the Valley of the Temples (a very easy, quick drive - I am not sure that I would walk there as the road was quite busy). It is a very long walk from the town though and parking in the town is, as in many towns in Sicily, not easy. The hotel has a lovely garden and there is a view from the garden/terrace (in the distance but a view all the same!) of some of the temples in the Valley of the Temples which is lovely to look at with an aperiitif at the end of day when they are lit up. Although only April, it was very hot when we were there, and they don't have a pool.

We had a suite for us and our two children which was very big, clean and comfortable but could perhaps do with an update soon though. The bath was a jacuzzi bath and there was a hairdryer.

The staff were (with a couple of exceptions) not overly friendly but they were helpful with a couple of specific requests. Wifi was free but only available in the lobby.

We went in April with two young children and the hotel did seem to be frequented by much older travellers (not many young people or children at all) and so with the pleasant but rather old fashioned decor, it did feel a little like walking into an old people's home! We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very good (though fairly pricey) but the atmosphere was rather deadly even though there were a fair number of people so we didn't eat there again. Breakfast was a buffet and was average (coffee from a self service machine) and we would expect something a bit better from this category of hotel.

Fine for a couple of nights if you want to visit the Valley of the Temples and Agrigento but I wouldn't recommend a long stay.

This was an excellent hotel in a great location, just off the motorway and within walking distance or a short bus ride from the wonderful Greek temples of Agrigento. The room was comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. We were surprised at the low cost of the rooms. It was very good value

We stayed one night in May, 2012 and found the hotel very, very nice. Beautiful gardens, outstandingly friendly front desk staff, free WiFi, good breakfast and our room had a panoramic view of the Valley of the Temples, illuminated at night. Friendly dog in the parking lot too! We had a little trouble following the web site directions to find the hotel but had a great stay once we found it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Valley of Temples

It was an enormous experience being in Sicily to see all the historical places, ruins, valleys, bridges, villages, architecture and Etna volcano of course.
The hotel has fantastic location, beautiful view to the temple, the hotel has everything needed for an extremely pleasant vacation: cleanliness, outstanding service, nice and comfortable room, well-equipped, wide selection of breakfast and delicious food made by the chef. Special thanks to the two Giuseppes in the restaurant, they were just perfect. We very much enjoyed our stay there, the garden is unforgettable, so gorgeous like being in a fairy tale.
Grazie and Arrivederci!

We spent 3 days in Agrigento which was 2 days to long. You can visit Valley of Temples which is beautiful and museum in one day. The Colleverde Hotel was clean and breakfast good. Dinner food was also good. Room and bathroom adequate. Location is walking distance from temples. Parking and WiFi good. Hotel staff alittle stuffy but okay. Excellent restaurant across street called Spizzulio's. Only 3 tables but owner/waiter/cook Carmelo is outstanding at Sicilian food. Highly recommend! Hotel is 30 min walk from town and there is nothing in town.

This is a good group tour hotel. You can see the temples from the property. The rooms are clean and the breakfeast is good.
