No air conditioning turned on in spite of extremely hot weather.room was not ready on arrival.room was very small for two people and not too clean. In spite of their nice garden and nice breakfast the sleepless night took its toll.

Perfect for a one night stay as a base for visiting the temples. We walked down to the archaeological park entrance as it looked near enough when viewed from the hotel. It only took 20 mins but the roadside path on the quickest route was sketchy and in places non-existent. And on a hot day you would want to conserve your energy for the long unsheltered walks between the various temples. The car park looked ok and had an official attendant -no sign of the youths asking for protection money mentioned in other reviews. The hotel reception staff were helpful and informative so probably best get the most current and safe advice from them, tailored to your circumstances. We were happy with the restaurant which was good enough to avoid an additional schlep into town to eat. And the gardens on a warm evening would be delightful. Room ok for sleep and shower and there are lots of comfy armchairs in the lounge if you want to sit in comfort.

This hotel is in many ways a little gem: the rooms are older but perfectly comfortable; the downstairs and the grounds are lovely: the terrace overlooks the temples at Agrigento, lit at night and lovely. The food is excellent and the service excellent. I have stayed here twice and really loved it. However this time I had the oddest experience and I don’t know if they are under new management. I sent in a deposit for my group and two days before I arrived I got emails demanding payment of the rest (or that’s what the not very good English suggested). When I wrote back I got another confusing email; finally I got a reply that said they wanted confirmation that I would pay the rest. How odd is that? It was really annoying, and odd, but it’s still a good hotel.

While the hotel offers great views of the temples and the public rooms are well decorated, the private rooms are spartan, no English news channel or coffee maker. The dinner at the restaurant was insipid and the pasta over cooked and tasteless. Breakfast is the bare minimum compared to all the other hotels we've stayed in Sicily. We had a good lunch across the street. Self-served Nescafé in the breakfast dining room.

This clean and accessible hotel offered a grand view of the The Valley of the Temples from its spacious covered patio and gardens. The local bus line at the hotel driveway provided direct transport to the Archaeological Museum and the entrance to the The Valley of the Temples. The spacious dinning room was airy with views of the garden patio. Service was cheerful and consistent. Food choices for breakfast and dinner were above average choices of pasta and other local dishes. The inside bar provided self service to the patio during our stay in October.

Lovers of minimalist boutique hotels, abstain from booking colleverde. This is a hotel where owners and staff make a purposeful effort to give you a rich, tradional Sicilian experience. That includes a public environment with lots of ceramics and local paintings, a well kept garden with all of Sicily's flora represented and a tightly knit team of staff whose aim is to make you feel at home as part of the family. Rooms are clean, breathe the sametraditional style and there is free wifi for all. Key is to get a room with a view of the temples - the hotel is at the southern edge of Agrigento with oan open view of the archeological area. Thebreakfast buffet is average, dinner (no lunch) reflects the freshness, ofsiciliancooking, sercviceis friendly at all times.
In the end, when all is said, location is the great forte of Colleverde, with the entrance to the temples a 20 minute walk downhill, and the old centre of Agrigento (well worth a visit) a 30 minute walk uphill.

Room Tip: Room 326 has a great view of the temples

This is a lovely first-class hotel, with large comfortable rooms, a top-notch full menu restaurant, and a view of the ruins. The charming staff (kudos to Lyra, the multilingual Stefania and server Magdaliena) made us welcome and happy to be there. Wifi in our room was a bit iffy (we had to move to the door to make contact, but could then usually move back to the bed). We had two delightful and quite different dinners in the restaurant, liked the wine list, and found the breakfasts quite excellent as well. We will stay here again, and would recommend it to our friends.

Room Tip: Take your computer to the offered room and make sure that it can connect to wifi in the parts of the...
