Quiet location with well appointed rooms. Breakfast was fantastic Sicilian spread and we were encouraged to take the many leftovers for lunch on our trip the following day. Despite our inability to converse in Italian our hosts were able to make known to us good restaurants. An ideal location from which to visit the Valley of the Temples. The only drawback as with everywhere in Agrigento was finding the address; a GPS is an essential aid in this case.

Room Tip: Only 3 rooms, 2 with double beds and I twin

We spent three nights at the B&B Liola during our ten day vacation in Sicily. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive to our every need. The rooms are beautifuly decorated and spotless. Breakfast was fantastic. Pinuccia and Alfonso went out of their way to make sure there were some gluten-free offerings included in the amazing breakfast spread. They gave us helpful directions to nearby sights and navigation hints to avoid some of the traffic challenges in Agrigento. Fantastic B&B in Agrigento.

We were welcomed warmly by Alfonso, who was keen to tell us to help ourselves to cold water and fruit, and who had left nuts and wine in our room. He was also able to recommend local restaurant choices, and point out the best route to the Valley of the Temples. Pinuccia took this level of warmth to a whole new level - so friendly, keen to chat and serving the most amazing breakfast. We were simply swept away by this couple and their comfortable B&B. B&B Liola is at the top of Agrigento, so you will need to be able to negotiate steep hills and steps to enjoy the town itself, but that aside, your hosts will ensure that this is simply the best B&B experience you will have on Sicily. Unbelievable!!

Room Tip: Not for people with limited mobility. For everyone else - this is the must stay place in Agrigento.

We spent only two night in "Liola", but I am sure next time will be more (hope soon). The hosts Alfonso and Pinuccia are incredibly kind, friendly and nothing is really too much for them. We were greeted by them on the arrival, and they made sure that we could park safely. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, absolutely spotless and there was a carafe of "Zibibo" (local wine) to taste. Breakfast is a feast, you can even choose your menu the day before. It includes (our favourites) - delisious Sicilian specialities. Rooms are large and quiet, beds super comfortable.
Highly recommended.

The owners of the B&B are very nice-- effusive. They are waiting for you when you arrive and gave us a map and gave great suggestions on what to see. Our only regret is that we had not planned two nights in Agrigento instead of one. It really deserves two nights minimum and more if you wanted to make it a base to see other towns within driving distance. The room was at least as nice as what we received at hotels that charged at least 50 percent more. NIce, quiet, had a great sleep. It is located across from the old Duomo and is at the top of an old section of the town that winds down though kasbah-like alleys and stairs -- do take some time to just wander through the neighborhood, it is very unique. They gave a wide choice for breakfast and provided local cheeses and baked goods. I would have to say that the local pastries were not really to my taste (in hindsight I would choose a plain croissant over any filling -- too nutella-like for my taste). The only warning I would give is that you probably do want to have your own car to stay here because it would be quite a hike to the bus or train station and uphill/ up stairs, or there is a bus but it could be a hassle. If you do have a car, I do have one warning for my American friends. It would be good if you have experience driving in southern Europe (which I fortunately did), because it is a little tricky to find even though I studied a map in advance and you do have a couple of 120 degree turns and stretches of two way street that can't fit two cars, so be prepared to yield and have tight squeezes. But we really did like the place. A tip on finding it: follow signs to the Duomo.
