We booked La Terraza at the last minute. The three unit B and B enjoys an excellent location, very accomodating hosts and the place is spotless. We particularly enjoyed the large balcony, large bed and large shower. The host speaks very good English and we were able to park on the street just in front of the building.

Room Tip: All three rooms are outstanding!

We stayed at La Terrazza Sulle Torri for 6 nights this past week, and the hospitality provided by Rafaella and Lorenzo was unmatched by any other place we stayed during our 3 weeks in Italy.
"We", were four adults, two couples, and we stayed in two of the three rooms available at the B&B, the Violet Room and the Orange Room.
Each comfortable room is thoughtfully decorated, and Rafaella has added many small, interesting touches, that take this B&B to a level that's uncommon amongst it's peers.
We arrived by car from Lucca and Lorenzo met us in front of La Terrazza, showed us the free and secure parking area right across the street, and then helped us take our bags up to the rooms. The B&B is on the 4th floor and there is a lift.
After we were settled in, he asked if we had chosen a place for dinner, because it was getting late and on a Saturday night it might be difficult to get a reservation.
Since we had not, Lorenzo called a place in town, just a short walk from the B&B, and they said they would seat us since we were his guests. We used Lorenzo's restaurant suggestions on 3 of the 6 nights we were in Alba and we were never disappointed. In fact, It seems Lorenzo is known and respected by the owners of each of the restaurants we attended.
He was even able to arrange an appointment for a private tour and tasting at a winery we were interested in visiting in the town of Castiglione Falletto.
Rafaella is a gem, and sees to it that the guests at La Terrazza have all of their comfort needs met and that the dining area has food or snacks to enjoy at any time of the day. She even points out a selection of sugars on the tea cart and fruit jams in the refrigerator that they have brought in from various parts of the world.
Rafaella seems to have knack for addressing the smallest details that make staying here a step above your typical B&B experience.
From La Terrazza, it's just a short walk to Alba's city center, and you're well connected to the local highways for easy day trips to La Morra, Barolo, Barbaresco, and Neive, and the other hill towns of the Langhe.

La Terrazza Sulle Torri is "THE" place to stay when you come to Alba, and the Piedmonte region.

Room Tip: The Violet room is smaller but has a large balcony. The Orange room is large but has a narrower balc...

So glad I made the choice of making La Terrazza my home away form home for my 7 night stay in Alba. After travelling 25 hours I arrived pretty ragged but Lorenza was waiting to pick me up from the train station even after arriving an hour late. Lorenzo and Rafaella gave great suggestions for dinner and go out of their way to accommodate their guests needs. Their suggestions were endless...like a personal concierge! I didn't want to rent a car so Lorenza made arrangements for an English speaking driver to take me wherever I needed to go for my day trips such as the amazing town of Barolo with an incredible museum and Serralunga for cooking class. Rafaella is so warm and friendly and keeps the place spotless and way more than a B&B with fresh fruit, snacks and water always fully stocked in the fridge. The daily cleaning such as a full service hotel was not expected especially at the rate I paid. The breakfast was more substantial than I typically eat but being a coffee freak the quality coffee pods was a nice touch and very much appreciated. The comfortable modern space and view from the balcony in the purple room was incredible even from the bed. Location was perfect for walking right into town and a great base for daily trips to the many Piedmont villages. This place is a keeper and I have already recommended it to some friends thinking of visiting Alba. I plan to return for Truffle Festival in a couple of years and will definitely stay at La Terrazza. Tip for those trying to decide between Asti and Alba. The two towns are night and day. I took the bus to Asti and didn't get off as it was not at all what I was expecting. In my opinion, Alba has so much more character and quaint and Asti was a big cement city.

When we arrived and saw the outside of this Bnb I was somewhat dismayed. But then Lorenzo arrived on his motorcycle, and his charm and friendly manner encouraged me somewhat. And the rooms are totally lovely. Lorenzo and Rafaella obviously love what they do, and want the guests experience to be as good as it can be. They have provided every possible little touch. It was so very nice to return from dinner on the first night to find a selection of Grappa and chocolates to enjoy. Lorenzo was very helpful with restaurant advice, and we did appreciate his help with a problem we had with the ticketing on the Autostrade. They are lovely people. Alba and countryside are wonderful. My only suggestion would be for Lorenzo and Rafaella to make more bench space on the breakfast preparation area. Thank you both

Room Tip: We had the purple room; would perhaps have chosen one of the others as I think they were bigger and...

We stayed three nights at the B&B in Alba and loved it. The place is excellent, very charming and very close to the center. Lorenzo and Rafaella are very nice, helpful and friendly owners - good to laugh with. The rooms are very pleasant, lots of little things and details, very clean and very nicely decorated. Everything with a personal touch indeed. With the balcony and sitting in the sun - it is very relaxing. Just the street is sometimes a little loud.
Breakfast is prefect with fruits and local fine quality food. Lorenzo puts little selfmade and incredible delicious Panna Cotta and other desserts in the fridge to try.
By the way there was free parking around the corner with a little luck.

We have stayed at La Terrazza Sulle Torri in the past and have been more than pleased with every aspect of a successful B and B. But when I emailed Lorenzo for the same room at their B and B, all of the rooms were taken. Alba was in the middle of a classical music festival, held every year in May. Lorenzo informed us that he and Raffaella also have an apartment to let (located at 18 Pietrino Belli. We took it immediately because if Lorenzo and Raffaella own it, it will be top-notch! And it was! Sue and I found the apartment as splendid as the B and B. Of course, we were more on our own without the immediate hospitality, but we understood that. The apartment is close to the main street, spacious and well equipped. There is a large double bed in the master bedroom and a pull-away bed in another room. The apartment also comes equipped with a blow-up mattress that could serve another person. I comfortably predict that the apartment will become as popular as the B and B. And the best news of all is that Lorenzo and Raffaella have a second and third apartment that they will prepare for guests. So, fellow travellers to Alba and the Piemonte, you have some excellent accommodations, courtesy of Lorenzo and Raffaella. But I warn you. Book early!!
