“Why?”

Is it you always long back to certain hotels in the same moment you leave them? The way you are treated is of course important, and you should search for a long time to experience the service, smiles, helpfulness and the ATMOSPHERE you find at Hotel Langhe. The rooms are comfy (espesially the new ones), clean and well equipped, a pool area to relax in. The breakfast is very good, and they gladly make you something special if you wish so. I could go on and on
mentioning positive experiences at this hotel. Situated a few km. Outside the town center of Alba, I
Will recommend a taxi (10€) if you not come by car. Don't hesitate to ask the staff to make special arrangements for you, like visits to the best wineyards. And a last tip: Ask for a bottle of Roero Arneis, and they'll serve you the most delicate white wine.
Conclusion: Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Ask for a mini-suite, and you get a small "private garden".

We stayed here for 3 nights and we really enjoyed it. The staff is really friendly and attentive. The rooms are little tight, so if you prefer to have some more space, go for a superior room. The superiore rooms are really spacious and they have a nice hugh balcony. We hotel is an about 20 minutes walk away from the center. But you easily can walk that. If necessary they arrange you taxis as well. Breakfast was good as well, it is not hugh but there is everything you need available. The garden area and the pool are really nice kept.

I recently stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed it. I only stayed one nght but the staff was very warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable and offered a small deck to enjoy view of the rolling hills. I ordered a local wine and flowers in advance of the trip and both were delivered to my satisfaction. Breakfast was good as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a patio

This was such a great find in a fantastic wine region. I wished we'd allotted more time in the area. The hotel is all at once, super cute, cozy, country and modern. It seemed like it would have been great place to relax at. Our room was very comfortable (awesome lighting fixtures) and the property very pretty.

The reception - SO GOOD. The young lady who received us upon arrival gave us some great, local dining options and also a good, one-day sightseeing itinerary of the local wine areas.

This place seemed like it was a hub for business travelers as well as vacationers. I would absolutely stay here again.

We spent one night in this hotel, we had a large superior room on the ground floor, at a very goodl prize. We appreciated very much the decor of the room, the 'strange' large bathroom, the rich breakfast in the nicely decorated lobby area. The owner was extremely nice and helpful, also the rest of the staff we interacted with was very nice. There is a nice garden, with plenty of space to park.
The location is ok if you travel by car and you want to have a quiet night of rest. You cannot walk to Alba's center, but you can use this hotel as a starting point to explore the beautiful Langhe region.
On the negative side: there was no minifridge in our room, which is fine in winter but for me would be a problem in summer (and I would expect one in a 4 star hotel). No possibility to make coffee/tea in the room as well.
Although the bathroom was really nice, and it was organized in three distinct areas, I would have preferred a 'real' door, instead of the sliding door.

Room Tip: Superior rooms on the ground flloor have direct access to the garden.

From the swanky breakfast cafe lighting to the collection of obscure (and delicious) boutique Piemonte wines, this tiny country inn exudes an understated vibe of country cool. It's not fancy or fussy, and it's not rustic or rough. Rather, the owners have created an instantly comfortable respite for those needing a home-base for exploring the incredible hill towns of the area.

The town of Alba and its old centro district is close by (5 minutes by car). Having traveled throughout Italy numerous times before (the crowds in Venice, Rome, etc. have become so painful!), we fell in love with this entire area. Great restaurants are plentiful and the old town's focaccia cafes are worthy of World Heritage status. The throngs of tourists and busses are nowhere to be found and the locals are actually happy to see you. Alba rules.

If you get a room facing the hillside, you may get to hear the local farmer's truffle dogs working in the fall mornings, and if you're lucky, they'll serenade you with some amazing choruses of howling from time to time.

Bonus points for Nico's music selection (great tunes for breakfast) playing from a vintage 1970s era hi-fi in the lounge.

We had chosen this place kind of blindly, but our experience here was quite a surprise. The owner/manager is an interesting and very personable fellow who made us feel quite welcome and ensured we were comfortable. We were rain-drenched and tired by the time we arrived, and his personal attention to us was just the tonic we needed. We were sorry we did not book more than one night. The room was large, bathroom quite nice; very clean. Just be mindful of the high-sided tub; it takes a high leg-lift to clear it.
