Amazing old hotel, complete with frescoes and terraces, modernized with private baths and A/C. Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - and they speak beautiful English. We had two connecting rooms for a family suite. Larger room included couch and coffee table, for plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent: buffet including pastries and cakes, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses, as well as granola and other cereals. Eggs made to order as well. All of this personal attention, and within walking distance of everything in old Alba. Highly recommend the optional parking spot - well worth the 10 euros. A fabulous find!

Minutes away from the main shopping street is this totally refurbished Palais. We got the 'fan' room, an amazing fan was dran on the ceiling somme 100 of years ago. To be in Italy and to sleep under a fresco..;Whatelse! The reception team, efficient and welcoming, the room spotless, the city, we left with all what there is to buy on white truffle! Saturday morning the local market, just around the corner, superbe!
Breakfast was served in the former caves, good!

This lovely palazzo in the center of Alba was an excellent find. We stayed on night and we impressed with how warm and helpful the staff was even prior to our arrival. Once we arrived they were very helpful with parking, dinner reservations and town directions. The room was lovely and the breakfast the next morning in the wine cellar was one of the best, most complete breakfasts that I have enjoyed in a long time.

We stayed one night in Palazzo Finati as we wanted to dine at the acclaimed Piazza Duomo restaurant, which is located just a block away. The small hotel turned out to be a great experience as well: a beautifully modernized old building with all amenities of a 5-star hotel. The breakfast is excellent and the staff really friendly. If you are not afraid of squeezing your car into narrow spaces, the parking (10 eur /night) is a good option if you book it in advance. Add that to the perfect location and the small terrace our room had, and you have a winner.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the Terrazza room immensely, it's a first floor room with a private terrace to enjoy...

More a B&B thanhotel, in the city centre of Alba, I got a better room than in many 5 stars hotels. Large, very well appointed, elegant, marble bathroom, a balcony, WIFI. Only thing missing, tea/coffee facilities, but mini bar in the room. Well above average breakfast. Limited parking in the courtyard, but public parking nearby. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Room Tip: As I understand, any room is a bit different, you may want to investigate what better suits you

The Palazzo Finati hotel is tucked away in one of the narrow side-streets of the pretty old town of Alba, just a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral. The Alba old town is easy to get lost in, and even with sat-nav it was a little tricky to find this place. There is parking space for three cars behind a gate that the hotel staff open for you, but those not fond of tight spaces may find manoeuvring in and out of this a challenge. However, once you have settled in, this little hotel is very nice. My room was a good size, with a reasonable bed and effective lighting, and a rather small but decent shower. There was free wi-fi and the staff were friendly and helpful. The reception closes at 9 p.m. but guests are provided with a key to a side door for access. I only stayed one night but would happily come here again when I return to Alba.

The hotel is located very near the centre of Alba, but still far enough away not to be disturbed by the noise of the city. The rooms were spacious and clean, and we had a small terrace. The bathroom was rather small, but well equipped. Since the hotel was small (9 rooms) we felt almost as house guests. The staff was very helpful and attentive, and they helped us planning a winery tour in advance of our visit. The breakfast had everything we wanted, with fresh fruit, cereals, bread and a variety of cheese, ham and sausages. My husband was also very happy to have eggs and bacon individually prepared every morning. If we return to Alba, this will definitely be the place we will stay.
