After staying in the Hotel Saint Martin for around two weeks, I have become very fond of it's staff and the service provided. This family-run successful business provides you with an insight into traditional Italian cuisine and the Aprican sense of community. The hotel is located very close to the main gondola to take you to the mid station of the ski area. Many thanks to Gino, Michele and the rest of the helpful and polite staff in this brilliant hotel. I am already thinking about coming back during the summer for some mountain climbing in the resort! Highly recommended, two thumbs up!!! Enjoy.

the hotel saint Martin is ideally placed for access to the slopes. a 100 m walk takes you to the main ski lift and the ski pass office. you are welcomed to this family run hotel by the owners gino, simona and isacco and the very friendly staff. the hotel provides comfortable rooms, good food and a relaxed atmosphere where you can recover and be ready for the next days skiing.
anyone considering a weeks skiing in aprica would be well advised to give the saint Martin a try.

We booked the hotel St Martin for a four night break xmas week and stayed over new Years eve. The Hotel is in a great part of town has good car parking and is easily accessible for the town centre and the ski Lifts and Ski passes etc. Aprica is a great Ski resort for families with young Kids, its good Skiing and snowboarding, safe, friendly and has good levels of ski schools. Ski passes are reasonably priced too. We were the only English tourists in the resort , as it is very popular with Italians from Milan, which we were happy with, but not much English was spoken generally in the bars etc so take a good phrase book with you. Everywhere in the resort is easy to get to on foot and there are lots of lovely restaurants and bars very close to the hotel serving lunches and evening meals. The Hotel is what it is, a modern 3 star purpose built good value Italian hotel, but it has been made very cosy by the owners, is spotlessly clean , is functional for skiing with families with a large ski store in the basement. The rooms are very basic and minimalist, but beds are comfortable, the restaurant and commumnal areas are homely, the breakfasts were good, the lunches were delicious and good value and we had a gourmet 10 course meal on New Years eve which was really excellent. Gino the owner and Chef knows how to make a really good pasta, he can speak good English and is very charming. The waiting staff were very friendly and pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. All of this helped to make our stay just about perfect I would say. The Firework displays on New Years Eve in Aprica are worth traveling there for alone and were spectacular. We will definitely stay here again and return to Aprica for Skiing and more to the point the Apres Ski. The Devlin Family. England. 07/01/2012

We stayed here prior to a gran fondo cycling race. The whole village seemed in a deep sleep, so was the hotel. The owner hardly spoke a few words of English and was not very helpfull. He also was the chef but these skills were also either deep asleep or poorly developed. The Parmezan cheese was moldy and the pasta more raw than al dente. There also seemed to be a lot of prefab food. Breakfast on the other hand was good (except for the automat-coffee).
Rooms were pretty basic but OK, if you manage to get a room with balcony. Otherwise a tiny window is all you get for light and fresh air.
As Aprica itself seems overrated priced, so was this hotel with a double room for € 65 pppn

Went to Aprica with around 40 other people (aged 11 - 16) in the easter holiday and really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Saint Martin. There was another school staying at the Hotel at the time, though it was not crowded. The food was amazing! We would start with pasta then for the main course there was meat (vegatarian option available). The staff were very helpful the the rooms comfortable. The ski lift was only a 6min walk away and the ski slopes were amazing. I really enjoyed my stay :)

We will be travelling back there with a school trip at Easter. We completed a risk assessment of the hotel and were very impressed with the facilities available for us. We arrived to a warm welcome after arriving very early one morning having driven through the night from Bergamo airport.
The rooms are warm, simple but very clean with just enough furniture to be comfortable but not cramped. Plenty of hot water in the showers.
We ate every meal at the hotel and were very impressed with the quality of the authentic Real Italian food. They do a great birthday cake.
The hotel is very family friendly with many italians staying there. The hotel is between two ski lifts both less than 5 minutes walk. Ski hire is 100m away and very proficient and helpful.
Night life is quiet in the village even on weekends. Be prepared to make your own entertanment.

Stayed here during Staples2Naples in September 2010.
NEGATIVES
The rooms are furnished in very basic style. Decor is a little dated in some of the rooms.
POSITIVES
Rooms very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Superb breakfast buffet for only 6 euros. Large hotel with much wider facilities than a B&B.

Overall, our visit was superb. We were particulatly impressed by the attitude of Gino the owner, who took an interest in the guests, and went to great efforts to ensure that our stay was a happy one. Thanks you. We will certainly be back.
