We just returned from a 9 day stay at the Villa, in central Tuscany. This was an ideal location with short hops from Arezzo to Florence, Seinna, Cortona, Asissi, Pisa and the wine country. When you first arrive you are greeted by the owners/family Silvano and Valentina who were awesome. They were very helpful, and were able to make lots of recommendations for eating out, shopping, the grocery stores (about 5-7 mins by car), and arranged a cooking class right there in the villa! (we used home grown products from the farm). The villa is a restored 1400s Farm that Silvano spent 12 years restoring with modern amenities. We had a full Kitchen with oven/gas stove and use of the washer and dryer downstairs. The bathrooms were up to date modern with a great shower with awesome water pressure and plenty of hot water. The farm is amazing and is about 100 acres of olive groves, with wild rabbits, and deer running around, and high up on a hill with an inspiring view of the valley (we had some amazing sunsets). The pool was very nice although in March it was pretty cold for a dip (althought that did not stop two of my boys from trying it :) Arezzo was great in that it is not the usual tourist trap...mostly friendly locals are around, and it was fun going down into town to eat and shop. If you want to do your own cooking there are two giant grocery stores(similar to a Krogers/Safeway) with everything you could want . This is a nice private villa/farm just minutes away from a nice sized city with all the usual amenities. Silvano and Valentina were amazing hosts who made the visit very special...they really enjoy having guests there. We will be back.

The host family is fantastic and you have a huge property for yourselves where you really can relax. The beautiful town (old city) Arezzo is close by and have a lot to offer. Lots of good restaurants also in the area. It is my favourite place in all Italy :)
