“An excellent choice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014 via mobile

We were really happy with our stay at Parco Degli Ulivi. It's a great base for exploring the northern side of Sardinia given its central location. We don't have children but will happily come back when we do as the hotel and nearby beaches are very child friendly. Parco Degli Ulivi has a great pool with a stunning mountainous view, a big colourful play area and good breakfast. The rooms are very spacious. Ours had an attaching room with 2 single beds which would be perfect for a family of 4 (room 107). Our favorite beaches to the east were those just south of Porto Cervo - Principe, Piccolo Romazzino (and Romazzino), La Celvia. From the hotel they were less than a 30 min drive. After lunch in Porto Cervi we visited Baia Sardinia which was bigger and more of a tourist beach but still very beautiful. To the north is La Maddalena Archipelago - again only a 20-30 minute drive and absolutely breathtaking.

We (family of 4) had an amazing relaxing holiday at this beautiful peaceful hotel. The views are fantastic, the pool area was clean and quiet (we had it to ourselves a lot of the time). The staff were kind and helpful and the food was delicious (we stayed half board which was well worth it). The rooms were spotlessly clean and large (we had a two bedroom suite) and all 4 of us slept incredibly well (which says a lot for my 3 year old!)
The hotels location in the hills means you will need a car to get around but that is not a problem as there are some beautiful beaches and villages to explore nearby.
We liked it so much we may well go again for our summer holiday next year!

What a dreadful wind one can meet in the northern part of Sardinia, Italy in mid-July. Whatever it was the Mistral, the Levante or the Sirocco it was there several days almost blowing us away. Then it's good to have a safe and solid basis which we found in the countryside resort Hotel Parco degli Ulivi in the hills behind the Costa Smeralda, the playground of the rich, famous and superficials.
Nice clean room, great 180 degree mountain view from the balcony, superb service and good advices from Valentina in the reception and a splendid restaurant with good well prepared and tasty food. Not to mention the swimmingpool with mountain view and waves (the wind again). We spend 4 nights at the resort and rate it highly. Fine location to discover the Costa Smeralda with the wonderful beaches and the crystal clear water which not even Aga Khan and Silvio Berlusconi have been able to destroy. And a short distance from Palau where the small car ferry in half an hour brings you to the wonderful island, Maddalena with its fantastic nature and charming main city. Bring you car with you to the island as it's mandatory to drive around. This island is far more interesting and refreshing than the fake and decadent luxury of Porto Cervo and surroundings.
Thumps up for Parco degli Ulivi!

Room Tip: Ask for a 1. floor room. The view from the balconys is the best and you have more privacy

Perfect stay of 2 nights at Easter 2014 for our family of four.

We arrived late in the evening. straight from the Civitavecchia ferry, and the staff kindly had arranged for a most satisfying evening snack at the bar even though the kitchen was already closed. Also, we got very clear and useful driving instructions in advance.

Gorgeous setting, very nice, clean and comfortable spacious rooms in separate villas (2 rooms per floor, on two floors) - we had two upstairs rooms with a balcony, perfect. Really beautiful swimming pool in panoramic setting. Very nice panoramic restaurant with terrace for breakfast and dinner. Food at dinner was fine, but not top-notch. The location is great for exploring the surroundings, the beaches within short drives and the Costa Smeralda - if that is what one wants to explore, we were happy not to stay at the unreal surroundings of the coastal resorts.

Our visit occurred before the start of the season proper, so the grounds were not lush, and looked a little drab. No doubt it is different in the summer.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms with balcony are definitely preferable over ground floor

Thank you we had a very pleasant stay, the hotel views were beautiful.the swimming pool was spotless with lovely furniture to relax on. we had the pool to ourselves some days.. breakfast was on the terrace , good choice..restaurant a little pricey in the evenings but excellent service. Only problem you do have to have a car and drive to a restaurant in the evenings if you want a change. lots of cyclists ideal location for cycling in countryside...overall very nice.

Room Tip: superior Suites on top floor with balcony were very peaceful, beautiful views of countryside and oliv...

A very nice hotel with a great restaurant. Location is OK, meaning you are 15-30 minutes from great beaches. Very CLEAN room and everything working perfect. Breakfast typically Italian meaning its OK but missing a little homemade dishes. The best of the hotel is the restaurant. No wi-fi in the rooms, only at the lobby....not very good.

Rarely available these days helpful and friendly staff who invite you into their lovely place with carefully prepared fresh food and excellent local wines.fantastic 360 degree mountain views spotless and clean. The owner potters around enjoying and tendering to his garden of Eden, you can only be spell bound by the place and you will find like minded people who enjoy non glitzy non personable hotels.
Great place to read books and 20 minutes from all north sardinia seaside resorts.
Will be returning for sure and for peace and quite worth visiting.

Room Tip: Upper level with balcony
