A delightful stone cottage is the sitting in the hilly hinterland and around a 30 drive from Porto Cervo.

Great hosts begin the service of what seems a never ending samples but generous portions of local cuisine around 8.30pm.

It represents great value of 35 euro per head.

Be warned to have a big appetite avoiding the temptation of eating too much of the breads, ensure you have a reservation as it was fully booked on our visit, be prepared for a finish after 11.00pm and bring cash.

To our charming hosts, my wife and I noticed and thought our experience was enhanced by your separation of groups with young children from the rest of the diners.

Sorry to disappoint but it is less good than Agristurismo Candela (but much easier to find !)that we tried last week. Same price but less atmosphere. Nice service but not explaining any dish or smiling. Seems they are there just to get the money... The problem is that besides the antipasti, the food has no taste for me.
The place itself does not receive phone calls so be prepared if you have a nanny...

It has a very vast fix menu that allows you to try the best plates of Sardinian cuisine at a very reasonable price. The service is great and the environment relaxed.

We read this was the best restaurant in the whole of Sardinia. Well, let me tell you: it isn't. That's not to say you shouldn't go, it's an experience. Everyone eats the same food, it's a lot of courses, some are good, some mediocre, some poor. Everyone tries to get there for 8.30, it's quite a long drive into the hills from the coast. You start with hams and salamis, then fried courgettes and aubergine, a sort of bread and butter pudding made with meat soup (which we all thought was most odd), some buttery wobbly stuff (which we all thought was awful), gnocchi with meat sauce (mediocre at best), ravioli (sweet) with tomato sauce (ordinary) then the pièce de resistance, suckling pig which was decent though the portion small. Garnished with tomatoes, cucumber and raw carrot. Finish with greasy seadas (deep-fried dough with cheese inside, awash with honey) and nasty mousse with syrup. Wash it down with limitless red plonk (undrinkable). At least the mineral water was plentiful and included in the fixed price of €35 per person (even if the person is a youngster who drinks no wine and cannot eat the huge amount of food they serve). So to summarise, a lot of food, not much of it is good, but it's worth doing - once. Best to go in a group if you can, we got away around 11.30. It's a long evening and you come out feeling stuffed - and we didn't eat much of what we got!

A group of us went to this Agriturismo which we had been told was really excellent and it lived up to our expectations. The food stated to come out at 8.30pm and we are solidly until 11.30. The antipasti alone was worth the money. 35 euros per head. There was no fish but plenty of cold meats cheese, vegetables, pasta and suckling pig at the end. Do not fill up on bread at the beginning. The red wine and water was replaced without asking. A really excellent night out which was made better by a nice group of people who were on a yoga retreat.
