Best not to fancy pizza for lunch in this part of Sardinia as all the Pizza restaurants seem reluctant to fire up their ovens until the evening - none the less have pulled into the restaurant car park we were charmed onto the terrace and into taking a table for five.
We ordered a mixture of salads, Calamari, cheese and pasta and enjoyed the al fresco experience even though more than perhaps the 'snack' that we originally sought. We were the only ones their for lunch but for some strange reason this seems the case everywhere we go - perhaps the Italians can only holiday in August.
The menu offers the full antipasta, pasta, meat and fish experience and we would commend La Ruota to anyone happy to pay out £20 per head for lunch, beers and wine.
