“go back every year!”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

this is my second home, i have been coming here since i was a tiny baby and i still come here now in my twenties and with my own family and parents! the outside of the resort may put you off but you dont stay there, the minute you are through the gates you are in paradise! its the most wonderful place my parents ever took me and im so grateful to go back every year. a bit pricey, but well worth it! on site restaurant has gone downhilll a little over the years but there are tonnes of amazing places to eat or you cook yourself with the amazing fresh produce!

We stayed for 1 week from 10th to 17th August 2013 via Eurocamp holidays as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children (14, 11, 8).

A nice park which was clean and well presented but very disorganised.
As a British visitor you were left feeling like a 3rd class citizen regardless of how much Italian you (tried!) to speak.
Pool was very clean but the mandatory wearing of swim hats was a surprise.
Beach attached to the park is OK with black sand as expected for this region.

The overall park is very disorganised with a 3 hour wait for checkin and a ticket based queue system which no one bothered to enforce. Likewise camp rules for cycles etc were not kept to or enforced making cycling or walk within the park at times, carnage.

I would advise people to rent a bike from the facility opposite the main gates (2 euro per bike per day) but make sure you get a bike lock for each bike as we had a bike stolen and so did a friend there.

Restaurant is average and we found hair in some of our food so be careful but then again it is cheap (large pizza for 4 euro!).

The Eurocamp (2 bed room caravan) was very old and tired with little room for anything but the onsite staff were helpful when we had a gas leak.

Park = average and disorganised
Europcamp = milking old caravans at full price

Just returned from a two week stay with Eurocamp - flights to Napoli, public transport (bus, train, bus). No car hire. Fantastic weather, great tans.

Pros:

Pool complex - 3 lovely pools, well set out - clean, not too crowded, swimming hats have to be worn, no one uses Sun Loungers (3 euros a day!), good shaded area on well kept grass, terrace decking near bar, some activities at different times of the day.

Sandy Beach - direct access onto beautiful clean beach, great to swim in the sea, not too deep, great for kids, fab views when the weather is clear; Lifeguards, cafe, nearby Bar

Camping Complex - big but not huge, variety of static caravans, tents, pitches and mobile homes, lots of clean toilet, shower blocks, onsite supermarket, restaurant, bars, newsagent, gelateria, volley ball courts, table tennis, football pitch, very small cinema (under cover), under cover TV, small gym etc

Cons:

Getting there: public transport very unreliable and not direct from campsite

Staff: especially in the Gelateria and main bar - miserable and unfriendly, more often than not rude, not very helpful if you're trying to speak a bit of Italian, check your change carefully

Bike Hire: Opposite the campsite. Don't bother! Two euros a day for a rough old bike which isn't roadworthy. And if your bike has a puncture when they offer to rent it to you, they'll try and charge 4,000 Euros to repair it! Yes: 4,000 Euros (not a typo).

Off site Disco: very loud disco music every night until 3am. The disco has been asked on several occasions (by various reps) to turn the music down - their response is to turn the volume up

Local area: not much to do, a bit run down, lots of roadside rubbish, not very welcoming, difficult to get about if you've not hired a car.

There are lots of great campsites in Italy - try those instead.

Room Tip: Go for a static caravan with decking - helps reduce the dust. Choose a caravan as far away from the...

Very nice location for this hotel. Direct sandy beach. Nice pools. The season comes to an end here soon. We were in the middle of September. Unfortunately, it was too touristy restaurant so the choice was modest. The staff are helpful. Calm, quiet great place for families.
green lawns, fine sand, blue sea
You can go to Naples by bus, but not the short trip. 1 Hour.

Baia Domizia is a very big site, and the swimming pools we great, food was OK, staff were lovely, but that's where it ends.

We spent 2 weeks in Baia Domizia, and our holiday was neither restful or enjoyable because my colleagues and I were unable to get a restful night’s sleep. This was due to an off-site disco, which would usually start at 11.15pm and go on to 3am-4am. The disco was open air, and it could be heard throughout most of the campsite every night.

This resulted in my family and I being unable to sleep, which meant that during the days we were very tired and were unable to enjoy days out. By the end of the holiday, I felt quite unwell due to overwhelming fatigue. I came home feeling tired and cross, not at all refreshed – which after a two week holiday is most upsetting.

In Eurocamp's welcome Pack, it states that we must keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10pm and 7am – which we kept to, but with the droning beat of the disco and loud DJ, we felt this rule was a joke!!

We noticed that there were a lot of complaints concerning this, and the Eurocamp staff were very understanding, but could do nothing about it. One of the Reps even suggested moving us to another campsite, but as it was high-season everything would be fully booked!

I would recommend this site to young party-goers, but if you have a family and want a decent night's sleep - then don't go!

We stayed for a week and found the site to be very clean and the shower block always had plenty of hot water . The pool complex is lovely and we liked the way that the site was set out . I do agree with other reviews about the location but we had a hire car so it was never a problem . We ate in the restaurant and found the food very nice .

The site is very big and at 1st glance looks promising but once you actually start to look around it is very disappointing! We were there with Eurocamp who are normally very good so we were very shocked by this camp site. To start with there are no toilet seats on ANY of the toilets, not even the ones in the restaurant! No toilet paper either but I suppose that isn't a major problem as you can carry your own, however, I didn't fancy carrying my own toilet seat around with me! The shower/toilet block is clean though.
The supermarket on site is extremely expensive, eg. 0.70 Euros for a 1.5l bottle of water where we'd normally pay no more than 0.30 Euro for a 2l bottle in the town supermarkets. However, it is quite large and has a good varity of foods etc with a fresh meat counter so adequate if you don't have transport.
The restaurant is big and clean, the pizzas are very nice but we had pasta on the 2nd night and all 3 dishes (different ones) were extremely salty and me and my son ended up leaving ours as they making us feel sick! The prices are slightly on the pricey side for what you get.
The kids park is pitiful, very very small for such a big camp site!
We were kept awake til 1-2am both nights we were there with very loud couriers (the Eurocamp staff) singing and crashing and banging etc. the 2nd night they had a party for all Eurocampers for one of the courier's birthdays which we didn't go to as we had to be out early to go to the airport but we might as well have gone because it was so close and loud that we couldn't sleep til well into the morning! I expected someone to enforce the camp rules of 'keep noise to a minimum after 7pm' but obviously nobody did. We didn't hang around to visit the beach etc. as we were only there as a tag on to the rest of holiday to we could visit Rome. The train station is 25 mins away in Formia and you can get a direct train from there to Rome 1.5 hour journey for 7.80 Euros each way.

I would definitely have paid more to stay someone different if I'd have known what it was like here, unfortunately I only read Eurocamp reviews and not ones on here!
