Have just come back from another fabulous stay in Gardenia. Great to see the team all there again and a few new additions too. You are always guaranteed a great holiday and this year the wine festival added to a lovely trip. It is a popular spot but service never drops its high standards.

Room Tip: Superior rooms are worth it for the lake views but it is not a deal breaker as you dont spend too mu...

Stayed here for a couple of nights on a 5 day trip to the area. Its a small and friendly hotel with a lovely warming welcome. It has only a small pool but it was well maintained with beds to sit on and staff to serve drinks. We had a really nice room with a balcony which faced the lake which we loved. Breakfast was nice too. Would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Choose a balcony room facing the lake

We have just returned from a five night stay at the Gardenia and absolutely loved it! The family that run it and their staff are a completely perfect example of how to run a hotel. They work very hard but are always smiling, friendly and very helpful and delightful to talk to.
We had a lake facing room with a large balcony which had a lovely view of the lake and sunsets and overlooked the pool at the front of the hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and a good size with a comfortable bed and the balcony had a table and chairs and a sun lounger.
We booked through the website which meant breakfast was included in our rate. We don't speak Italian but the staff answered both emails before our arrival and questions while we were there in perfect English and every breakfast we heard them switching easily between Italian, German & English! We paid the extra for wi-fi, but I think €5 for the duration of our stay was very reasonable and reception was good on the second floor.
Breakfasts were delicious, plenty of choice and eggs were cooked to order on request and we sat out on the terrace to eat (except the last two days which were too windy!)
The location is good, it's a nice quiet area and the walk in to town was about 20 mins at a gentle pace along the lakeside path.
I believe it was fully booked while we were there, and it appeared that many guests had visited before so if you like the sound of it, I'd advise booking early! Very highly recommended, I've never stayed in such a nice 3 star hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a front lake facing room - some of the side rooms have a balcony with limited view but the f...

We arrived at the hotel to be welcomed by one of the managers who was so friendly. We had upgraded to the room one above basic, superior I think, it was a lovely big room with balcony overlooking the pool. We went room only and bought breakfast from the lidl next door which was really handy. i loved the room, air con was great and room very spacious. The hotel couldnt do enough for you. The pool was lovely, especially in the heat. The only thing I would say baout the room is that it didnt have a bath, it was a shower only.
I had a great massage fromthe onsite therapist, about £15 and it was brilliant, probably best I have had.
I would definately go here again, its great for a 3 star. We normally do 4 star all the time but this has changed my view, that actually smaller 3 stars can be nice.
Its a lovely stroll to the town centre, about 15 mins walk where you see a lovely sunset. Cant wait to go back to bardolino

Room Tip: ask for a superior overlookign the pool

my husband and I along with another couple spent a week in this wonderful hotel.
It certainly wasn't the poshest place I've stayed but scored full marks for comfort, cleanliness and above all the friendly helpful staff. Nothing was ever any bother.
A delicious breakfast was served each morning and the choice was amazing. We were given lots of tips and vouchers for money off retaurants in the area and they proved to be spot on too.
Maps were provided and lots of tips given for places worth visiting around Lake Garda the only trouble was we ran out of time!
Only downside I was oo popular with the mosquitos!

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have balconys with Lake view

We chose this hotel having read the great reviews and it lived up to them all and far exceeded what I might have expected of a three star hotel. The hotel, room and bathroom were all spotlessly clean and the breakfasts amazing. The staff were so helpful and their advise and suggestions helped us make the most of our holiday. The position just outside Bardolino but close enough to stroll into town was great. But I think the best test of a hotel is when something goes wrong and we got caught up in an airline strike and the staff were brilliant in helping us make freah travel arrangements and fitting us in for extra nights so what could have been a disaster turned into a plus!! We will be going back next year!!

If you are looking at this review you are considering a stay in this hotel, don't hesitate it's the perfect choice. Staff always have a smile day and night, always keen to help with any problem. Breakfast buffet style, homemade bread rolls are wonderful, fresh friut in abundance every day and endless coffee or tea. If you want you can have eggs boiled, scrambled or fryed. Worth paying extra for a Lake view room. Room housekeeping impeccable. Two pools cleaned every day, plenty of sunbeds. About a 10 minute walk to the centre, beutiful on a nice evening along the lake side. Stayed 17 days will be returning next year. Book now you won't regret it.
