We stayed 3 nights at hotel Gardenia in late July. It was really hot in Bardolino these days with 34-35 degrees C. Therefor it would have been nice to spend some time at the hotel's pool area. But unfortunately it was crowded the fist two days, so we only got a couple of hours by the pool our very last day at hotel Gardenia. The thing is that the pool is very small and the area round the pool is narrow and there are only room for 16 sun beds. But this is the only negative about the hotel. Everything else was excellent, The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and clean and had a large balcony. The breakfast was superb. When we booked the hotel we apparently miss judged the distance to central Bardolino. It took us about 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to the city centre and that was quite tough due to the extreme temperature.

We booked the Gardenia based on the trip advisor reviews and the location and struck gold. The hotel is well appointed, the room spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent and the staff incredibly helpful, even assisting us to book the opera in Verona. We only stayed 3 nights but will certainly return for a more lengthy stay at this delightful hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room with lake view and balcony on the top floor. It was spacious and had a large double and a single bed. It was a great room but had sloping Eve's on one side which may give a very tall person a problem.

We booked 10 days at the Gardenia based on the excellent ratings on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived until we left the staff could not do enough for us. We were even invited to make a selection for a packed breakfast because we had to leave so early on our last day. We have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this hotel and all their staff.

This is the 8th time we have stayed at the Gardenia. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the owners and staff are perfect, nothing is too much trouble.

The location is great, a short (20 min) walk from lots of good restaurants in town.

Room Tip: Every room we have stayed in has been fine. The front rooms have a good view and balconies.

The three brothers; Nicola, Riccardo and Gianni, who own and run this wonderful holiday retreat,
work tirelessly to ensure that every visitor is made to feel special. This also applies to all the members of the staff who cannot do enough to make one's stay, memorable. This was our fourth
visit to the hotel and it will not be our last. Wonderful views of both lake and mountains and should you want to travel north to Riva or south to Verona, public buses, stop conveniently close.
No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: I can recommend Room 201.
