“Very nice”
Reviewed 22 September 2011

Just returned from a week at this very nice hotel. I cannot add very much to most of the positive things said about the establishment. Wife and I stayed in the Augustus annex and that was very satisfactory. Hotel food was of a high order, bedrooms spotless, indoor swimming pool and facilities excellent. The only small problem is the location which is just to far from Bardolino for an easy walk if not that fit however we hired bikes and that cured that issue. Some of the other guests did say that the hotel shuttle only takes 8 persons and needs to be booked in advance and be more frequent. This was our forth visit to Bardolino in five years and have stayed at both the Hotel Color and the Nuttuno, the Hotel Caesius compares most favourably with both.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable trip to Bardolino where we stayed at the Caesius Thermae Spa, between 10 and 17 September. This was our third stay at the Caesius and we were not disappointed. We like the location, which is on the outskirts of Bardolino, roughly a 10 -15 minutes strole along the banks of the lake to the town centre The hotel has excellent facilities for families and couples alike. We travelled as a couple but we were able to observe the children's club in full use. There are both indoor and outdoor spa facilities and the hotel offers a range of beauty therapies for those interested. There are several types of room available, we opted for a room in the main building with a pool and lake view. The room was a good size, air-conditioned and it had a nice balcony. The room facilities included a mini-bar, private safe and a flat screen TV all in keeping with this standard of hotel. We booked a half-board room rate and we found the food to be of a very good standard. Breakfast is buffet style and has a great selection to suit all tastes. Main meals are taken in the main restaurant and a table is allocated for your entire stay. There is a good selection available, salads and dessert are self service, the remainder being selected from a daily menu and served at your table. The only observation I would make is that during the week there was repetion with Veal in different guises featuring on back-to-back days , as did fish, which is perhaps not everyones favourite. Normally the hotel provides outdoor evening entertainment, but during our stay this was cancelled as there was the annual bird show taking place on the lake side. There was a fair amount of noise generated by the bird show's own entertainment in the evening, which meant the hotel were forced to cancel their planned schedule. The Caesius in my opinion, is one of the better hotels on the lake and I would not hessitate to recommend it.

Stayed here for two weeks in July, with my husband and 3 yr old daughter. Great amenities to suit all weather, with 4 outdoor pools and one big heated indoor pool with spa jets coming out form the walls. Our daughter loved the bubble party every day at 5pm and We thought it was a lovely touch to offer either pancakes or pizza slices complimentary of the hotel. Staff were just fantastic and could not do enough for us and the quality of the food was out of this world with a different catch of the day on the menu each nite, tasted some wonderful Turbot whilst staying here. We enjoyed it so much that we shall return at christmas with some other memebers of our family so they can experience the magic too.We had a suite and it was more then we expected, sixe wise. A tuly wonderful experience.

Room Tip: if you have a bit of cash to splash go for the suite u won't be disappointed.

Returned again for our third visit, over the last three years. As always more than liver upto expectations, with the food quality the highlight.
The staff, cleanliness, overall quality in every respect is what we have all come to expect on a visit to CT. The main, and fairly minor negatives remain, the pool temperature is too cool for my liking, also the fact that the only English lang channels on the TV, BBC 1 & 2 + channel 5 tended to be unobtainable at certain times, mainly at peak times later in the evening.
The food in the restaurant is exceptional, and has to be experienced to fully appreciate the quality and choice overall.

Stayed here for one week in September with husband and 8 month old daughter. Really great hotel with fabulous amenities to suit all types of weather. Plenty to do in the hotel; gym, swim, relax. The hotel had a lovely spa which I didn't get to use as it was so busy i couldn't get an appointment, but I did use the thermal suite and pools, which were amazing, even on a hot day.

All of the staff were great, especially Michele, Filipo and Federico, but everyone met you with a smile and were happy to help with any requests you may have had. The food was of a very high standard, breakfast had an organic section. The only negative thing I could say(and it's a struggle to find anything negative) is that you are seated at the same table for dinner for the duration of your stay. Perhaps it would be nicer to have a bit of variety, but I imagine it is to do with billing of charges to your room.
A great stay, and a great base on lake Garda.

Myself and herself stayed here in June '11. Probably the best hotel we have stayed in as regards comfort, cleanliness, staff efficiency and attention to detail. As a previous contributer stated, it was a tad annoying to be charged for water at dinner; other than that we have nothing but praise for the hotel. (One of the receptionists was a bit surly over the minibar, but we can allow that). Generally the hotel staff were very polite and helpful.
We left the kids at home (Yippee), but the Kids Club appeared to be very well organised, with the female version of Jedward being full of fun and energy. Gardaland and Seaworld looked great craic altogether.
Although we stayed in the main building, we had breakfast outside in the Augustus. All very relaxing, with a nice view of the lake. In summary, I can recommend this hotel for older couples and those with young families. Not sure if it would suit young folk looking for nightlife though.

Great pools, staff and rooms. Main improvement area is the children's club (needs to be more structured/organised). We had an issue with the quality of equipment and personnel in the Spa (treatment wasn't working), and therefore decided not to use it further - however this may have been an isolated incident.

Room Tip: If there is one, we'd also like to know!
