“Very nice boutiqe hotel”
Reviewed 13 August 2013 via mobile

We stayed in this nice hotel for two nights, and was very pleased with everything. Just read all the other reviews.
We would say this should be a 4 star hotel and not a 3 star. Very helpful frontdesk, nice pool, nice rooms with air-con, good selection for breakfast, free parking etc. Could be a little bit difficult to find the hotel as the car entrance is not on the road used as the hotels address.
Would stay again if in Bardolino.

As always when you book a hotel there is always the anticipation on arrival that the hotel won't live up to expectations but this was definitely not the case! From the street the hotel looks quite modest but inside you are greeted with marble stairs, antiques and very friendly staff. The car park is to the side of the hotel, an absolute bonus when parking and space is at a premium. The gardens and pool are stunning; quiet and relaxing even at peek times! Plus there are plenty of sunbeds to chose from. The room was of an average size, but who wants a massive room when the weather is sunny and the pool is beautiful!? On our first night it became apparent the air conditioning wasn't working. The manager tried his upmost to get it working but he couldn't. He provided us with a fan for the night and by midday the following day it had been repaired by an engineer. The bar was totally adequate and the staff will happily serve you food and drink by the pool. Breakfast was excellent with a superb choice and selection. As for location, you are in the middle of Bardolino and although the streets are quite hectic at night you can hardly hear them in your room with doors and shutters closed. Although there is a spa I cannot comment on it as the weather was too nice to be sat inside. However, we did have a peek inside and it looked lovely!
I did book this hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor and I will add that some are a bit harsh. If you don't like the coffee, don't drink it.....we had cappuccino and as for terrible service we did not experience this. Overall, a fabulous hotel and one that I would return to.

Room Tip: All rooms have balconies; ours overlooked the street, one overlooking the pool may have been nicer.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Just the right size. It has aura of clam and peace. Breakfast is really excellent with a wide variety of dishes every day. We had a lovely room over looking the most beautiful garden and pool. The garden had plenty of shade and was very private and tranquil. Our room was very comfortable and well furnished and was kept extremely clean. All the staff were very helpful and the service we received was very good. The public areas are very tasteful and well presented with plenty of private areas to sit and read. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a small hotel with good service.

Room Tip: We had a superior room which was very quite, but all the room seemed comfortable.

this is my third visit to the hotel and it is always better, it is well situated in the centre of Bardolino has a wonderful garden and a pool. the spa is lovely but the times are a bit inflexible, only until 1800 in the evening and closed on Sundays. However they provide good bicycles which are free of charge to go cycling on the long cycle paths along the lake. Excellent breakfast and good service.it uis a perfect break for a relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: I would recommend a superior double

I come to Bardolino about 3 or 4 times a year and this was the second time I have stayed at the Hotel 4 Stagioni. Sadly this time it was a real disappointment.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is in the centre of Bardolino so you are right in the middle of everything. The hotel is also nicely furnished with antiques etc and lots of flowers in the communal areas. And the beds are comfy and the room a decent size (although we paid for a superior room so you would expect this). They also have free bikes (varying in quality) that you can take out, which we did.

The main problem though was the staff! The reception was frosty from the outset which I was surprised about because I speak a decent amount of Italian and always try to make an effort but the woman who is the owner mostly just glared at us! And despite being informed that there was a night porter who would let us in late we felt like a massive inconvenience when we got back to the hotel at night.

The worst part was on our second night. I switched the TV on in the room and the lights and electrics went out! My friend was in the shower at the time and it was bit alarming. After a bit, the staff got the lights back on but still no power in the plugs. We reported this to reception who were reluctant to help and eventually we found the fuse box ourselves! A couple of minutes later the same thing happened again and in fact in the space of half an hour the electrics blew about 6 times. Rather than help us the staff accused us of doing something wrong (which we weren't!). Eventually I indentified that there might be a problem with the extension lead in the hotel (there was only one plug socket which the hotel ran a lead off). I asked for it to be changed and with some reluctance they did. The problem was then solved but we did not get an apology and ended up being late for dinner. A bit of courtesy would have difused the situation.

Other complaints are that the toiletries were totally inadequate (a bit of cheap soap and shower gel, no shampoo or body lotion etc). The walls are really thin so we could hear the conversations and TV of the people next door. The hairdryer was totally ineffective (although you find that in a lot of Italian hotels), the coffee at breakfast one day was foul and undrinkable.

This has the makings of a really good hotel but until customer service is improved it won't be. I don't really know what has gone wrong here because the first time I stayed it was much better experience and I was really keen to come back! I've got a couple of trips to Bardolino booked for next year and I had initially thought I'd found a gem in this place but sadly I think I am going to have to find somewhere else to stay!

We have been holidaying in Bardolino for over 10 years and each time we stay at the Hotel Quatro Stagioni. The hotel has a pleasant family atmosphere and is tastefully decorated throughout. The rooms have either garden or street views: The garden side rooms overlook a hidden paradise whilst in the street side rooms you can sit and watch the world go by. Breakfast at the Stagioni is a must offering a wide selection of foods. The hotel also has a good selection of snacks, drinks and cocktails to have whilst you’re lazing around the pool throughout the day. We have also tried the Spa for its massages and beauty treatments – all at reasonable prices. Quatro Stagioni is undoubtedly the best hotel in Bardolino and we shall be visiting again soon!

This hotel is very well run and the staff very friendly. We booked 11 days B & B. One of the attractions was the fact that the hotel had it's own swimming pool. We had booked 2 rooms as my son and his girlfriend were with us. The rooms were nothing fancy but had all mod cons and tastefully fitted out (after years of holidaying abroad I do not understand 2 single mattresses). Our room looked out onto the street but with double doors and double glazing the noise was not bad at all. Our sons room looked out onto the swimming pool. As others have said the hotel is located centrally with great access by foot to the main areas of Bardolino. The air con was a life saver as the temperatures at night were about 28. The cleaning staff were always cheefrul and very attentative. Another bonus is that it is opposite a fantastic ice cream shop. Breakfast was always well laid out and the choices were wide ranging. The swimming pool was always kept clean and never overcrowded despite the hotel being almost fully booked. It is also a very quiet hotel.
