The hotelstaff was really nice and helpfull. The rooms were beautifull and clean. The pillows on the bed were not that nice to sleep on, but that is personal. It is a little bit hard to find with car, because you have to get thru a pedestrain area to reach the hotel and park 300 meters away on a public (free) parking. It is located on the boulevard in the centre of the village, really close to all shops and restaurants. Wifi (sadly) only available only in the lobby.

I recently had the possibility to spend some time on Lake Garda (Northern Italy), and I have found this hotel accidentally, while walking around the promenade looking for a room near the lake shore. In fact, the hotel is located right on the promenade, in front of some trees, a pedestrian walkway... and the lake water!
We decided to stay for our whole holiday since it looked very cosy and peculiar, we were looking for something quite different from the schematic and soulless hotels you can find near the main street, which we didn't like at all.
The position is fabulous: facing the water, in the village centre.. there's a roof terrace where you can sunbathe (sun wasn't shining so much unfortunately, but I can imagine how great it would be in summertime) and even swim in a modernist glass-pool, and a wide garden where you can sit drinking beer while staring at ducks.
Rooms are quite big and spacious, some with an interesting vintage-looking furniture, some with a more modern appearance, which we chose (they were slightly cheaper, we prefer to spend money on shopping, drinks and food rather than on furniture).
I reckon this is a perfect place if you're on holiday as a couple and want some peace and relax, while not being far from everything and still being able to walk around to chase some liveliness.
Staff were friendly and helpful (english is not the most spoken language over there but it never was an issue), breakfast consisted of an all-you-can-eat buffet, which was perfect for a morning big-eater like me.
We can reccomend this hotel too, we hope to find some time to come back soon!

Room Tip: Ask them to show you both room types, since they're very different (vintage/modern furniture). R...

This is an older hotel without the ambiance. It has seen better days. It's just tired and worn. Dark hallways, cobwebs and shadows. No elevator. Great location, right on the lake. Has a nice graveled courtyard facing the lake with lots of seating. Staff were friendly enough. Breakfast was average, but they did serve sparkling wine. I spent one night, that was enough. Paid around125 Euro for 2, breakfast included. I would rate it between a poor and an average.

Having stayed at the Hotel Capri for many years and been very happy I now need a walking stick and wanted to be in the town centre.
This hotel supposedly has three stars, It claims to have been a hotel since 1925 AND 1939. We booked a Superior Lakeview room and got a basic room at the top of four flights of satirs. there is no lift (or help with luggage) The stair lighting is poor. Air conditioning in the room is controlled be reception and is switched off at 0400 so you have to leave the windows open which, during a festival can be very noisy (and hot). the bathrooms was tiny and had broken fittings.
Outside it is not in a good state with poor decoration. The 'sun terrace' is an open roofto with no shade. Dispite paying the deposit br card, they do not accept cards for final payment. They are also only on dial-up so if you need internet access they will refuse. The hotel is generally clean and most of the staff try to help. Given its position on the lake it could be a wonderful hotel but it seems like the owners couldn't care. They just want your money.
