was a bit wary of going after reading the reviews but........can honestly say we made a great choice. The apartment its self was clean and well equipped, staff were very friendly and spoke ENGLISH, receptionist very helpful and nothing was any trouble to help you with, pool immaculate, cleaned daily, breakfast had a varied assortment to suit all tastes, central location for all amenities, local supermarkets, a & e, g.p. surgery across the road who also were very polite and spoke English. The anamos team reps work very hard providing varied activities for all ages, well polished entertainment from the reps at night with all reps very friendly nothing was ever too much trouble. The Italians are very hospitable and a warm welcome was given every where. Would highly recommend this holiday to families that don't want to be a 100% tourist and want to try something out of the box A HIDDEN TREASURE THAT HOPEFULLY WON'T BECOME A TYPICAL TOURIST LOCATION unlike Majorca !

We booked with Thompson 10th - 24th Sept (end of season) self catering.Hotel clean, several staff do speak english and all were very friendly & helpful. On 18th restaurant closed as did the free shuttle bus - loungers etc on the beach (but this didnt bother us at all). However we knew other people were coming out and towards the end of our trip restaurants, shops & supermarkets were also closing due to it being end of season, so it could have become a problem for those coming out. Weather still remained hot.Beach was very clean and busy. Walked miles to the lighthouse unfortunetly it wasn't much to look at.Would advise car hire as the area is a Europa resort town,if you simply want to relax this is fine but if you want to get out then hire a car you do have a parking space near your apartment. Reception also has info on buses, taxi's car hire etc We did the venice trips due to end of season transport was an issue there and back so booked through Thompson (2 trips), arriving by boat (2hrs travel each way approx) was great and Venice was beautiful we didnt stay for the tour but went off to explore ourselves (we bought a map before we came) we went into the Doge palace, and the bell tower and generally walked around Venice every where you turn theres something interesting and different. We also took a gondola ride & found McDonalds! to the kids joy .Im vegetarian - Italians do not understand this and often stating i was vegetarian wasn't enough saying 'senza carne e pesce' (without meat / fish) worked. Kids enjoyed the rather large (but cheap) Maxi pizza's with a variety of different toppings we went to Ice Fire (pizza & ice cream shop just out side back entrance to complex). locally there is a bus station, cafe, police, Ice Fire, tabaccani, few small gift shops & 2 supermarkets but town isnt too far away
Our Rep Lesley was great! food was relatively cheap use winners supermarket as there is more choice. We ate out at Atmosphere nice food and staff were friendly & spoke english /italian / german we ate there twice.Take a phase book if you know no Italian, there very pleased when you try to speak their language. In town many people do not speak english so knowing italian / using a phase book advisable. Its a great way to try out a new language kids picked up a fair bit in such a short time. Pool extremely cold! be prepared!!Lots of German holiday makers all friendly enough. Mozzies a real problem take lots of repellent & cover up at night. We took a kettle so were able to have a cuppa..there is a metal toasting rack which they put in your microwave...but you have to put it over the gas ring to toast and only does 1 slice at a time ? take a toaster. No cooker in apartment just microwave grill, and 4 gas rings.Try the local drink (alcoholic) Aperol Spritz. Wine very cheap expecially in the supermarkets and very nice too! beer more expensive. We bought bottles of coke and water for kids from supermarket & topped small bottles up as coke was 4 euros for a small glass. We also took ice packs with us to chill drinks / picnics. Fridge has small freezer department. Our bathroom smelt (think this is normal - drains? ) but left extractor fan on which reduced the odour. TV - only news & Italian MTV (some english) as it rained for a whole day would have been nice to have had more choice mostly Italian / German channels.Kids entertainment was on in our first week (our boys uninterested) but pleanty of little kids seemed to be enjoying it throughout the day near the pool then at night an outside disco music in italian, german & english. There is a small sandy play park within the complex for young kids. Overall a clean apart hotel in a Europa resort & friendly staff.

Overall, a very good 3 star aparthotel. We had a one-bedroom apart with Thompsons (though much cheaper with Europa Tourist Group who specialise in Bibione: a two-bed for less than Thompsons charge for a one-bed!). The living area was however quite small. Flat screen TV (though mostly German channels). Could only get BBC World. 99% German tourists (at the hotel and outside). Some restaurants have only German menus. Met one English person in 10 days . Pool very nice (cold though). No attention to safety whatsoever. People climing on slippy metal water feature to dive into pool (in not a deep area), walking on the outside rail of bridge over pool, sliding on top of each other when coming down the waterslide (my boy got hurt). Snack bar has limited selection. All in all a nice 3 star and couldn't fault the cleanliness. Stayed 4 star in Spain last year and difference certainly noticeable. Didn't get involved in entertainment but looked/sounded much of a muchness. Good location for us as we had a car. Visited Lignano (10 mins up coast) and Caorle (45 mins). Bibione is not a pretty area but has all needed for a beach/pool hol. Caorle is the place to go for pretty windey streets (though not much for the kids). Lignano is worth a visit if you've got kids under say 7: couple of nice attractions with little rides/bouncy castles.....the Aquasplash water park is in need of refurb so choose an alternative (toilets are a hole in the floor, cafe is like a bad works canteen, and, unlike Spain, the Attendants rarely take their fags out of their mouths to blow their whistle to signfiy danger)). Did Venice on the first day and that was impressive (though not for 3 yr old who sat in pushchair bored and kept getting turfed out so we could get up and down countless steps)>

First of all, the animation team here are excellant, the time, dedication they put into their jobs is amazing. Every child/adult is encouraged, not hassled, into taken part in games, shows etc. They are brilliant at what they do and they alone would be reason enough to go back to the Planetarium. The complex is very modern, well designed and clean. We stayed in a one bed ground apt which would suit 2 adults and very children, go for the 2 bed if possible. Lovely atmosphere around pool, be careful when kids go from the kiddie pool to under the bridge, there is a dip of about 30cm. My child got into difficulty and I could not see him. A kind Danish girl brought him to safety. God bless that kid! Bikes to hire are 2 euro a day and there a plenty of cycle lanes. Pizza/Gelataria nearby are very good. You will find it hard to eat a bad meal. 'Guliverlandia' in Lignano is great fun. You can get a local bus nearby to it. Beach is spotless, plenty of activities. You get a lounger/parasol on the beach when you stay in the Planetarium. 'Winner' supermarket is only 5 mins away and is very good. That was our second time in Bibione and we love it. Watch for mozzies and don't assume the car drivers will stop when you are about to cross a pedestrian crossing! Would go back there tomorrow.

We enjoyed the planetarum, we had a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and very clean. The pool was designed for children and my three boys enjoyed the waterslide, the entertainment team organised games in and around the pool. There was a mix of nationalities, a few english families but mostly germans though the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, ( the sunbeds had towels on early in the morning!) The town was only a ten minute walk away and was packed with restaurants and shops, we didn't have a bad meal out, there are a few shops and pizza takeaways right opposite the apartment complex, the pizzas were huge and very good value. It would be a good idea to bring an italian phrase book as english isn't widely spoken everywhere, though all the menus are in italian, german and english. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

A great resort with excellent facilities. Full of Germans and natives . Could do with a few more Brits and Irish just to make us feel a bit more at home ! Bibione is a huge resort but we did'nt find a single regular pub . Accomodation is very clean as is the site and resort . Rent bikes from reception as they are very cheap and a great way to get around. Tons of restaurants which are mostly good value and the pizza is brilliant . Watch out for the mozzies !!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in July/August 2010. The complex is excellent for younger children. Our two 7 year old daughters spent all their time in the excellent pool (with twirly slide). There is a kids club from 10 - 12 and 4 - 6 6 days a week and the children's entetainers are very friendly and welcoming. The apartments are very clean and comfortable with very good air conditioning. They are safe and secure - as is the whole complex. If you want a relaxing holiday, where the kids have plenty to do then this is a great place to stay. There are a couple of supermarkets very close by for all provisions and for good meals out it was about a 15 minute walk into town and you were spolit for choice. There is a free shuttle bus that runs all day to the beach, which was superb. It was really quiet and you get a free sun bed, brolly etc for all the time you are there. There were a huge range of nationalities at the complex - everything was translated at least 4 times into Italian, French, German and English. I had read some reviews that said the resort didn't cater for the English - we didn't find that at all. It was a great Italian family holiday location.
