Agriturismo Il Poggio alle Ville

Great place and location, excellent management, Rooms are big and with typical tuscany furniture's. There are two swimming pools, one soccer filed and a lot of space to relax. We had also the chance to visit the tree camping where you literarily sleep on special bed hanged on the tree. Raffaele borrowed me his trial motorbike and really enjoyed riding for an hour around Poggio alle Ville property

Room Tip: Villa Montagna for a group of people is the best

Thank you once more for the detailed description of our farmhouse & villa complex! it is such a wonderful recognition of our work to receive this kind of appreciation. The tree-sleeping activity (for adults and children, there are some photos in our profile) is new and attracts more and more people. It makes one live the place and the amazing surrounding nature at its fullest. Hope to have you back soon! :-)

We just came back from a wonderful week end in Villa Montagna (Il poggio alle ville).
Raffaele, the owner, is very friendly, helpfull and available. The grounds are beautifully organised with fields (soccer and volley), trails for walks, olives trees, flowers, and of course the swimming pool.
The Villa is just amazing, tables to eat outside, bbq overlooking the hills, kitchen full equipped, games for small and big kids (ping pong table, table soccer)....and private pool.
Rooms are spacious and clean. If you are travelling with family or friends you will not regret to stay there and enjoy the peace and beauty of the area.
The apartments area is also very nice and clean.
Hope we can go back next year!

Dear Evelyn,
Thank you for the time you took to write so nice and sincere words about our place! We are truly happy that you have enjoyed your holidays in Villa Montagna - it is indeed a special place, not only because it is so old, dating from 1629 but because it has such a privileged natural location with great views over the Mugello valley.
Looking forward to welcoming you, your friends and family for another holiday in Tuscany!

A true gem for travelling in Tuscany as the meeting with the rebuilt property that continues with its tuscan charm together with the nature of the region and the people that run the guesthouse all added to our stay. We enjoyed the local products and a Tuscan meal that was prepared for us on one night and enjoyed the restaurants of the area on our other evenings. A great place that i hope to return too soon..

It is with great pleasure that we read your words about your stay at our place! Having you and your friends as our guests for the Moto Grand Prix was so nice and we are glad you enjoyed the time here despite of the not so warm weather :-) We are looking forward to welcoming you at any time you wish to return! Thank you once again!

Our family stayed at the Poggio alle Ville for one week this summer and it was fantastic! The apartments are in a group of rustic farm houses located in rolling hills amidst farm fields and woods. It is impossible to take a bad picture. Raffaele has done a great job of keeping the rural ambient -- and in this place you cannot help but relax! We really felt part of the atmosphere and the food was "dal Dio". I understand why so many of the other guests were return visitors. Poggio alle Ville is a Tuscan jewel and we will be back!

Room Tip: We saw almost all of the apartments, they are all very unique and you will be happy with which ever...

We are a Dutch/Australian family that came to Europe to escape Australian Winter, catch up with family and friends and to enjoy a Tuscan holiday with our children.

We found this magic place after a bit of 'Googling' and it looked great - reality was even better!
The arrival alone makes it worthwhile - a couple of km's of the main road, meandering through fields and climbing up the hill on a gravel road to be met by a smiling Raffaele, wonderful scenic buildings, flowers and the ultimate Tuscan landscape.

Now, if you are after pure luxury, this is not the place, it is an 'agriturimo' after all, but a lazy holiday with kids ( bless that great swimmingpool, volleyball and football field ), close to Borgo, Scarperia, Firenze etc - you can't beat it.
It is self cook etc sort of a holiday, so make sure you bring somme essentials like dishwash soap, sugar/salt/pepper etc. Shops are only 20 minutes away though.

They sell great olive oil, jams, agreable wines and bread delivered to your door every morning.
Make sure you participate with their weekly dinners - we had a fantastic pizza night.

Rest - relax - soak up culture and enjoy Tuscany, Il Poggio Alle Ville does that very well. Next time we come back we will bring the whole of the Dutch clan, as they are big enough to do that, with a series of houses, as well as a big home that sleeps 20+ with own swimming pool.

Mille grazie!

We stayed at Il poggio alle ville for one week. Raffaelle and his staf were very helpfull and willing. We stayed there also to celebrate our wedding which we did on site. The views and the nature are perfect for people who like the quietness. However if you want to travel to Firenze or any other city you can use public transport easy as well as the autostrada which is also close by.
Borgo san lorenzo is also a unexpected very nice town with a good market.

Please try to eat at least 2 nights on site because the taste is really nice.. For the desert try the very famous Tiramisu ;)

Room Tip: When you are with a big group 14 plus use the villa . if you like to mingle with other people the ap...
