We spent at this lovely, family run hotel almost one week. The "wood room" was very nice, clean and has an adequate size. Bed & bed linen of a high quality. The staff was extremely helpfull. Breakfast was excellent, consists of a high quality products. The food during the dinner was unbeliavable!
Great location very closed to ski slopes and center.
Highly recommended!

A small group of us stayed in the the Genzianella for the last week of January, all but one of the group have stayed here before and the first timer had heard so much about the hotel that it had a lot to live upto, he was not disappointed.
The reason we keep returning is that as a family owned and run hotel the Genzianella is as good as it gets, the welcome is warm and friendly, the whole hotel is absolutely spotless, all of the staff are very friendly and the food is superb.
I hope to visit the Genzianella again and i have to say that it is probably my favorite hotel not just for skiing but it is simply my favorite hotel anywhere.

My wife and I stayed here for a week of skiing in late January and could not have been made more welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The hotel was immaculately clean without being antiseptic, rooms were spacious and comfortable.
The food was incredible with a huge range for breakfast and six courses for dinner (with second helpings being offered!)
The lounge area is very homely and a great place for a pre or post dinner drink and relax.
The hotel is well located next to the piste and you can ski down almost to the front door. It is a 5 minute gentle walk to the main shopping street.
All in all a fantastic place which we will recommend to all our friends and family.

Hotel La Genzianella is a wonderful place to stay. I've been there during Christmas holidays with my family and we felt like home! They take care of every detail, all the rooms are really clean and comfortable. The new sauna placed in the garden is a unique experience that everyone should live! Moreover, we had the pleasure to taste the Russian Christmas dinner and every dish was amazing and delicious. Finally, family Andreola, who runs the business, is the competitive edge of this structure: always kind, helpful and available, they satisfied our requests in the best way! This is the place I would hardly recommend to everybody. Congratulations to Wilma & Co, we will be back soon!

Of course there are more luxury places, cheaper or more expensive, value for money, etc. But in terms of atmosphere and hospitality this is probably the best place. My wife and I spent two weeks in this hotel in Jan 13, and I must say it feels like home there. Special thanks to Federica and Marta!!!!
And when you stay there never let yourself miss a dinner that, thanks to chef, is probably the best in Bormio (yes, we had dinner outside too, but that was a wrong choice)!
The rooms are good, hotel is quiet, there's a stove in a lobby that heats it in the evenings, spacious parking and a lot of hospitality and that very special attitude that makes a difference between just a good hotel and the best one.

We found this hotel by accident when looking for somewhere to stay so we could climb the Stelvio Pass.
The hotel itself looked great and the location was perfect, so when we discovered that it was a bike hotel we didn't hesitate in booking.
In actual fact the hotel is even better than it looks on the website.
It is easy to find, if a bit of a drive from Malpensa, plenty of car parking and fantastic spacious bike room. Bikes are suspended from the front wheel to maximise space and there is complimentary use of tools, lubricants, hose pipe should your pride and joy get dirty.
The room is accessed with a key card and is under CCTV surveillance all the time.
It's not only the bikes that enjoy fantastic accommodation, the rest of the hotel is very cozy alpine chic and the rooms are warm and comfortable. Nestled at the foot of the mountains our balcony overlooked the Bormio downhill ski run, whilst behind us were the towering mountains containing the Stelvio.
The buffet breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice to fuel up for a day in the mountains.
On returning to the hotel dirty cycling kit is placed in a mesh bag and dropped off outside the laundry. Next morning it can be collected clean and dry after breakfast, perfect!
We will definitely be going back again.
