September is obviously between seasons here. Easy to find, but limited free parking (subsequently found more parking across the road). Check in was efficient, not overly friendly or welcoming.
Our room was large, but reminded me of the early 1970s by the decor and fittings. The bathroom was the same and in need of some proper cleaning - mould in the shower, dirty tile grouting and stains on the toilet seat!
The barman was under training and struggled to organise the most simple of drinks orders. And the restaurant was closed. But the receptionist did recommend a good restaurant in the town and breakfast was a vast buffet in the morning.
Overall, it is well past its sell by date and in need of modernisation. If you get a good price, as we did, it is acceptable, but not at anything approaching the displayed rack rateMore
