“Ideal hotel for business travellers”
Reviewed 22 October 2011

Nice from the outside, like an old farm, but not ideal for avg holiday goer, not too far from the highway, but not very close to the main city centre.
Unless you have GPS, the hotel can be quite challenging to find, it's in the middle of a residential area, and not close to anything but the highway.
We had a room above the restaurant, it was quite big, but the TV was small, and on the other end of the room. In the morning you could hear the staff walking on her heels, and she walks alot back and forth .. starts at at least 6 o'clock. at 7 o'clock the cleaners start to gather their equipment and ruffling with paper bags constantly is not too pleasant either, as the bed is next to the front door ...
wouldn't choose to come back ... unless i have business in the area, and have to get up early and be gone.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms above the restaurant .. perhaps the second floor is better

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, travelled with my boyfriend and our rhodesian ridgeback. The staff of the hotel were really nice and friendly and assigned us a room with direct entrance from the garden to make it easier for us travelling with our dog. I was really pleasantly suprised. The other hotels in that area were either not accepting dogs at all or only small breeds. The room at Santellone was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with fresh coffee and variety of choice. We went to a spa located within few meters from the hotel which we have enjoyed a lot! Overall relaxing and nice experience. Would definitelly come again and recommend.

My Fiancee and I stayed here for a long weekend break. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Milan, Lake Garda, Verona and Bergamo airport, using it as a central hub from which to travel from.

Initially our Ryanair flight was delayed by 5 hours meaning that we arrived at the hotel at 4am! Still, I phoned the hotel to let them know, and this was no problem as they readied our room for our late arrival.

The Santellone Resort is hidden away in a suburb of Brescia, behind an electric gate. Once it opens, you are placed in a haven away from the world. It has plenty of spa facilities, and although we didn’t have time to use them (unfortunately), this is still an ideal place to relax. The breakfast was great, brought to our room on a dressed table, with lots to choose from (I recommend the American breakfast!).

The service and facilities were excellent. They even let us re-print off our boarding passes for our flight home, in their office! Having stayed here, I would recommend this place, and would stay here again.

Any complaints? The shower could do with a bit more power, but that’s it!

If you do visit this hotel, I would very much recommend a hire car to get around in, as it is on the outskirts of Brescia. However it's proximity to the mountains, Lake Garda, Verona and Milan make it a great place to branch out from.

The resort is set at a area outside the busy town of Brescia, where there is a chance to relax in a quite environment . A great feature is the back yard that overlooks a beautiful garden area surrounded by nearby houses.

The hotel is a bit out of the main town centre. Don`t even consider without a car.
Overall clean quiet hotel but defenitely not a rejuvinating experience. The room we booked was unavailable so we ended up with a room with the most uncomfortable queen size bed. As stated just another average over priced Italian HotelI

What astounded me most about this little jaunt was the fact that it is at the end of the street, and then you go through the electric gate, and you are in Paradise, I cannot say enough good things about the the Hotel Santellone, everything was perfect-from a drink at there cozy bar to roomservice-there pasta was pure delish, I booked a Jr. Suite from Expedia (( great price 200 dollars)) and the breakfast was above average by Italian standers, the parking was very easy..(( BONUS in my book )) the staff really go out of there way and everything from resturant reservations to helping with luggage was done with a smile-such postive energy the hotel has-I cannot wait until my husband has to go back for bussiness so we can stay there again-they have an amzing spa-sadly I was not able to use it...

Just returned from a short break in Brescia visiting some friends. Looking for a good hotel around that city we decided to stay in Santellone Resort, an ancient abbey renewed as a boutique hotel (with a Spa) located just a few minutes by car from the city. The location is great, elegant and informal at the same time; the hotel is situated in a calm residential area in front of a park. We booked a junior suite, and for a very competitive rate we had a great experience! The room was large and clean, located on two floors: in the first floor we had a living room with comfy chaise longs, a table with two chairs, a flat tv with internet and a small patio; downstairs (the entry was on the 2nd floor) there was our amazing bedroom (with another flat tv) and a huge bathroom (with shower and jacuzzi and, of course, a lot of). Everything in Santellone Resort is new and nice, from the minimal-chic rooms to the garden. Loved the complimentary continental breakfast served in our room (no service charge for it!): coffee, cappuccino, breads, yogurt, fresh fruit juices, fruit, croissants, cookies etc etc.. delicious! You can choose between three breakfast menus: continental, american or healthy. We couldn't try the spa because we had not so much time, but looking at the photos it seems amazing.
Definitely recommended!!
