Four and a half stars. We spent two weeks in one of the sea-view chalets at Stella Mare, and though the chalet was even smaller than expected (one large bedroom, a small bathroom and a separate kitchen, accessed via the patio), it had lots of storage space and turned out fine. Fortunately the air conditioning worked well, and also served to block out any noise at night. The restaurants, mini-market and cafe on the grounds were a nice surprise but most of our time was spent at the shallow, smooth-sand beach. Overall we loved the campground (despite the hills!), the service and the entire island. Regret that I didn't try the free windsurfing lessons. Warnings? The hills can be hard if you have knee troubles (I don't), there's often noise/music till midnight, and the wi-fi access isn't ideal. But who cares - go the beach, or explore the dozens of other gorgeous beaches in the island. We would return in a heartbeat.
