Italy, so famous for its food and for the amount of small traditional restaurants, is just the place where I'd stay away from chain restaurants. And, had I known it, I would have gone somewhere else without missing a thing. Food was just average, mainly because of the lesser quality of the ingredients (so typical of chain restaurants) and the abundance of condiments and olive oil poured into the food (typical again). Portions were quite large, but more than a pro I'd call it the trademark of chain restaurats. Some good wine and a lot of cheap stuff, unattentive service, relatively low price. The place has been clearly just renovated (looks brand new) and, when the TV has been switched off, it's even nice and attractive. Resist.
