We stayed at Hotel dei Cavalieri for 3 days and liked it a lot. Location is perfect, close to La Reggia and a few steps away from shops and restaurants. Rooms were clean but smelled with cigarettes, I guess that not all of the guests really understand that its not smoking hotel.

Very central, closed to the palace, quiet, clean. Cheap for a 4 stars hotel with unbelievable service
except the breakfast which was enough but "flat": scrambled eggs (chewing gum), mozzarella, thin sliced of cheese and a sort of so called "salami". No tomato not other vegetables. Some sorts of fruits and pieces of cake. Seven days, seven times same things.
But an excellent cake and glace shop next to the hotel was Eden Garden for us.
Again, an excellent place to start visiting Campania and Sorrento

Stayed here for a friends wedding. Lovely hotel, lovely staff and good breakfast.

It's central and easy to find on lovely piazza Vantivelli. Short walks to la Reggia, and other lovely places to eat and bars.

A quiet, clean and comfortable hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. They stand over their mantra, it's not a stay its an experience.

It's true the wifi wasn't working but I was happy to not check emails for a few days.

The water pressure in the shower could have been better too but this is not enough to make give them a bad review. Ill definitely return to this hotel.

Enjoy your stay!!

We stayed one night at this hotel while visiting the Palace.
It's a typical business trip hotel, rooms are functional, not big but you got what you need and they're quite clean. Surprisingly they offer tons of tv channel which could be a plus for some people.
Breakfast was just average with limited items on buffet.
The real advantage of this hotel is location: right at the center of the city and 5/10min walk to the Palace.
Looks like a good deal to me if you want to visit the Palace and stay one night.

We booked the hotel on their own webpage and took the advance payment discount with breakfast included. Brilliant value. Excellent location too and an easy 10 minute walk from the station.

Although every hotel knows the importance of a warm friendly welcome, not many achieve it. However, the hotel dei Cavalieri really did – charming reception staff who made us feel truly welcome and did everything and more to settle us in. We also got a superb room; large and with a balcony on the pretty square with distant views to the palazzo reale.

The furniture and bathroom fittings were a little dated, but everything worked and we were comfortable. Breakfast was fine too – copious and good quality though the seating area was a little clinical and devoid of atmosphere.

The only small niggle was that we could not get the TV news channels we wanted to watch – it seems we had to pay to connect to SKY? However, overall that was not important and we would strongly recommend the hotel – would definitely return.

If you do stay there, we took lunch at the café at the end of the square: can’t remember the name but it’s a few doors next to Banco di Roma – the menu del giorno was a gastronomic delight and a real experience. Very reasonably priced too and you can choose to be inside or out.

Room Tip: The front of the hotel with a balcony gives great views and an authentic atmosphere.

I booked this hotel for work and its proximity to La Reggia Outlets (which just opened a Crocs store!), and while the price and location were right, the non-functioning wifi was a big downer. I ended up incurring roaming fees because I absolutely had to use the internet, and the staff, while friendly, did not try to do anything to compensate me for my added costs. The first room I had smelled like smoke, so they moved me to an upgraded triple, which was ok but had the musty old bed cover smell. It was clean though. They do have satellite tv, and you can turn off the Italian voiceovers to hear shows in English. The breakfast was basic - eggs, ham, cheese, croissants, bread and cereal - but it is included in the rate. You can also have food at a restaurant around the corner - my colleagues loved the apperativo there. They say they have a fitness center, but when I asked for it, they said "It was a work in progress".

Room Tip: I stayed in 540, which is a corner triple. It is pretty remote and, therefore, quiet. No great view...

We had booked, for our first night upon arriving in Italy, at the Hotel dei Cavalieri in Caserta. We were so happy with that experience, that we returned a few days later to stay 3 more nights at this modern, clean, safe haven in the middle of the some-what otherwise fast-paced city of Caserta.
Reception greets you warmly and converses easily in Inglese. We had emailed in advance to ask them to book a reservation for us at our favorite restaurant (Le Quattro Fontane in nearby Casagiove) and the young lady at check-in confirmed she had booked our reservation for that evening. (Turns out her grandmother lives right by the restaurant...how cute!) We were able to drive our car right up to the hotel's front door, to unload our bags. After bringing our luggage upstairs we were easily directed to a nearby secure car park.
Our room (a junior suite) had everything one could ask for...a large, comfortable bed with crisp linens, huge bathroom with large jacuzzi bathtub, Wifi, large closet with many hangers, a safe, a large balcony overlooking the Piazza Luigi Vanvitelli and a view of the backside of the famous palace. The large bathtub has a handheld showerhead, and there is no shower curtain, but it is easy to learn to use the shower and keep the water inside the tub. (However, when we returned a few days later, and in a different junior suite at the Hotel dei Cavalieri, there was no attachment to hold the showerhead in place on the wall, so this made it just a bit tricky to use.) But the water pressure was good and the hotel has plenty of large towels in the bathrooms, with a nice supply of the standard toiletries, as well.
Although the piazza is across the street, our room was completely quiet and peaceful. Bright lights are kept lit, on the balconies all night. However the rooms have black-out curtains that work well to keep out the unwanted security lighting.
Breakfast is served in the dining room just off the lobby and is self-serve, plentiful and tasty. It is restocked quickly & efficiently. Coffee drinks are made fresh-to-order and are delicious.
When we returned a few days later, we were greeted again in the same friendly manner. This time, we stayed two more nights, so we learned that housekeeping is done quickly and thoroughly, also. The friendly housekeeping staff starts early in the morning (and quietly, so as not to disturb those guests who might still be asleep!) ...so, as we left each morning for our walks about town, we would return to a perfectly-made up room. So nice to have the room serviced quickly like this, so we could get right back to our business of relaxing!
Given it's fabulous location, in the heart of Caserta, the friendliness of the staff, the security of our well-being, and the cleanliness of the rooms, we highly recommend the Hotel dei Cavalieri. In Caserta, we couldn't want for anything more!
