The hotel is very clean and all of the staff are very very attentive. Pepe at the bar especially, good fun guy and his measures were something else.
The pool is too cold this time of year but is very clean.
The food and staff in the restaurant were excellent. ask to see the special menu as this is changed daily.
They need to run more frequent shuttles as four a day is no where near enough.
Nearest station is a 40/45 minute walk and you do lose the footpath along the way.
a taxi from sorrento to the hotel cost us 80 euro... i thought i had booked the driver for the week !!! no just that journey.
Overall loved our stay at the hotel, but the shuttles need attention.

Former concrete factory so not very attractive but inside finished to a high standard.
Half way between Naples & Sorrento (15 miles). No bars or shops in walking distance. Infrequent public bus from Naples airport to Sorrento stops outside (always late!). Taxis expensive. Limited hotel shuttle bus to/from Sorrento.
Our room had a small balconey looking across the bay to Vesuvius. Fair size room, large comfortable double bed. Plenty of lights & storage. TV 22 channels, free room safe. Expensive mini bar, free bottle of water each day,tea making (no coffee). Large bathroom including bidet, bath with 2 shower fixtures. Plenty of consumables & towels. Excellent daily cleaning. .
All the staff are friendly, helpful, & speak English.
The restaurant has great views ofVesuvius.
We were on half board. Typical Mediterranean buffet breakfast. Plenty of choice.
Same 4 course menu every night (we were allowed to choose 2 plus pudding) & daily specials. Food excellent with alot of seafood available.
Very large spa/health facilities in the basement (towels provided). Private stony beach with plenty of loungers, lifeguard, & towels provided. Large swimming pool closed when we were there.
Plenty of secure parking.

Room Tip: Not many rooms with balconeys. Ask for sea view.

The hotel is located on the coast with a great view of Mount
Vesuvius and allows you to relax away from busy sorrento .
Transport to sorrento is available via a shuttle bus run by the hotel and this needs to be prebooked or alternatively via a public transport bus that stops outside the hotel on the main road .
The restaurant offers great meals at a good price and all the staff are very polite and great at looking after the guests.
The Spa is great and you also need to prebook your place

The hotel could do with a lick of paint and unfortunately the pool was closed when we were there. Seeing as the hotel is so cut off it would be nice if the bar was something more than a corner in reception with uncomfortable seats. Luckily they had a shuttle service which allowed us to go to Sorrento each day. This was the saving grace. Otherwise there is nothing you can walk to. It's around 15 euro in a taxi to Vico Equense if you want to go anywhere outside the shuttle times.

Breakfast wasn't anything special but it was edible. We had one dinner which was nice.

Overall we had a nice relaxing stay. The room was nice and the staff were helpful. We enjoyed a half day in the Spa.

CONFIRMATION REFERENCE NUMBER - 565054 (ROOM 107)

Please note that the details for the holiday advertised on Travel zoo did not live to its expectations as described. The following issues were not met to standards:

The advert did not specify that there were no amenities close by and the hotel was in the middle of no where. The advert stated that the beach was open from April and was told that the beach and pool will not be available until late April (guests frog marched off the private beach). The ppopl had black grime around it and then later had a red and white strip going around it. The shuttle service from the hotel only ran twice in the morning and pick-ups from Sorrento train station were 9.00am and 11.00pm and the public bus (last service was at 4.30pm). Guests who were out and about had to rush back to Sorrento Station for 4.30pm to catch that bus back to the hotel or get a taxi which was 50 euros. Transport was very expensive. There was not much choice of breakfast or evening dinner for vegetarians. The staff spoke very little English and was unable to understand.

It was my 50th birthday and also my 30th wedding anniversary and the hotel could do nothing when I asked for an upgrade but charge me 150 euros for the vertigo room (as per my email below). When I did arrive at the hotel on Friday 4 April 2014 I requested an upgrade from one of the receptionists for my room and was told that I had already had an upgrade. I was told it was an upgrade to a room with 'Sea View' it was never an upgrade. The holiday was advertised as a 'Sea View' room - where was the upgrade. The room was clean but my views are very much like Andy from Weymouth who we met at the hotel too.

Just returned after a weeks half board. Here's the good; beautiful view, quiet, lovely staff (especially in the restaurant - giovanni is excellent). However, the man made beach was closed although the sea looked inviting. We knew the pool wasn't going to be open but did not expect to see it looking so uncared for (black sludge). The whole place was looking shabby, bathrooms not up to scratch and slightly tatty furniture. The hotel shuttle bus is not frequent enough and the hotel is so isolated that I don't think they should charge. Buses we're comfy but expensive, trains cheap but old rolling stock. No amenities nearby. No shops, cafe etc. no where to walk as very busy road and nothing close by. I hope for the sake of the lovely people working there that this hotel improves itself very quickly. Not worth the money.

Room Tip: Only stay in rooms overlooking the seafront.
