We were two fathers and sons, wanting a spring golf training camp while there is still snow on the ground in Sweden. Overall we were happy although we had a bit of bad luck. Lodging: Excellent 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom apartments in 2 stories, just next to 10th and 13th tee, and the pitching area. We did not use the kitchen but it looked fine. We read a lot of reviews complaining about the need for renovations, but this was not the case at all. Only thing lacking was to have a number of English speaking TV channels. Food: we had half board/pension and breakfast was very good, and the dinner even better. Great Italian food and not expensive drinks to that. The Snack bar at 10th tee very good lunch food. Golf: unfortunately the winter was tough this year and the course was not in the shape it should be (this was mid-March). I assume the conditions are nomally way better. We played both Riva dei Tessali course, and the Metaponto. The former was better designed, especially the holes in the woods, some of them really great design and very challenging. Metaponto more spacious but not a bad course at all. Most important -- you can play as much as you want and there is very low load on the course. Driving range balls of low quality, but pitching area good.
