We stayed for a week from 5th May 2009 and found this hotel was absolutely fantastic. The food for breakfast was as stated in an earlier post i.e. bread, cheese, ham, eggs, also as much juice and coffee as you want. The meals were really nice we thought we would have to eat out if the food wasn't great as it said on an earlier post but found we couldn't complaint at all about the quality or quantity of the food. The bar was fine although we were too tired from walking up and down the beach most nights to stay for too long. The rooms were clean and tidy and although basic the towels were changed every day which is better than most european countries we have travelled to. The weather was hot and sunny all week the only downside was the "Sunflower Beach's pool" which guests can use at a reduced rate and is situated directly on the beach was not open. There are lots of play areas on the beach for younger children. The trip to San Marino through the rep was 18 euros for an adult and 10 for a child and was well worth it just for the scenic drive alone. Best place also for buying souvenirs and cigarettes as they were around 5$ cheaper per 200 here. Would definitely go back here as would the rest of my family who travelled. These include my mum, sister, brother and 4 year old daughter.

Stayed here in June 08, only cost us £ 214 each with half board, insurance and transfers. It's right in the middle of town which is great, food was spot on with good choices, room was nice and clean, breakfast good, beer was nice, staff were freindly apart from maybe the co owner ( brother ) you could use pool in hotel senior nearby, just buy a drink there.
Would go again it was fab, gave good tipps to staff on last day
( recomended)

Well this is the first time i have had to write a bad review but i guess someone has to do it.

The hotel isn't very pleasent at all, it lacks facilities as you would probably read in the brochure.

No Pool, No Internet Access, No CCTV, No Hairdryer, A Tv But No Ariel Cable. A very small "slow" lift which fits about 2 suitcases in, oh and no fan on the room ceiling.

The staff are not friendly people, infact if you book your room for the extra day and don't return the room key right on 8pm, prepair to get your head bitten off, the "male" owner hardly ever cracks a smile or speaks to you.

The room gets very hot and stuffy because of the lack of a fan on the ceiling so you have to pay 10 euro's per night to get the air con working, then the room turns into an icebox during the night. Ontop of everything else, it can get very noisy during the whole night, depending on which side of the hotel you are on you get the noise of trians every 10-15 mins , or the other hotels kareoke untill 12-12.30am.

The food is set menu's, which in my opinion, does not work in hotels. You get a choice of either fish or meat everynight.

Well that's it, we won't be returning to this hotel.

We stayed for a week in June at this hotel. Although it was only a basic 3 star hotel the staff were so friendly it felt like home. The bedrooms were only basic but very clean , towels were changed each day. The bar was fine and sometimes there was entertainment in the evening. One problem for some people would be there was no pool.

Breakfast was okay usual rolls eggs cheese and ham
jam etc. Dinner was waiter served and very good, food was always hot and good. You were asked to choose your meal the night before.

The hotel is in a very good position at the top of the main street in Cattolica. Cattolica is wonderful we had not been there for 32 years and it was every bit as good as last time we went in 1976.

The restaurants we visited were all excellent and not too expensive. If you are a wine drinker the local red wine is Sangiovese and the white wine is Trebiano this is about 7-7.50 euros for a litre.. There is always something to do in Cattolica evenings are good down near the fountains with all kinds of free acts and the dancing fountains. Buses are cheap and handy to get to Riccione and Rimmini.

The excursions are very expensive from the tour companies but well worth it if you have never been to Venice, Florence, Rome etc.

I would recommend Cattolica to all ages, after all the italians go there together in families all the time.
I can see us going back to Cattolica soon.
