Second time at Europa Monetti and we are so happy we went there again.
The holiday starts the moment to go there. Everybody is so friendly and helpful.
The beach is perfect, the food delicious and the had so much fun between the beach, the pool and the mini-club.
A perfect holiday.

ROOM: I booked a Junior suite (306) with 1 bed for 2 adults + 1 bed for a child separated by a wall but with the child still visible from adult part of the room - when we checked in the room was ready even if we arrived at 10 am (check in at 2pm) - the room was clean and remained clean all week long thanks to their maid service - bathroom was clean and bathrobe were changed everyday - welcome kit was ok - 2 balconies - the room was completely quite thanks to double windows - minibar was filled in every morning - bed were comfortable and they provided housekeeping twice a day - RATING = 5

RECEPTION: they were very professional and seems to be ready to help for any matter. Fortunatly we didn't have any problem but heard stories from other customer very satisfied from assistance. The owner was always present - RATING = 4,5

BABY ROOM: All the toys were in good shape and the room was big and clean. In my opinion it should be more secure through the use of a gate so the children will not be able to run away and the babysitter to be more concentrate on having fun with the kids and not to look for everyone who wants to run away. - RATING = 4

SAFETY: it seems that everything is thought to be safe for the child but I will had an internal door locker not reachable by children since they could open the room door while you are doing something else (shower, sleeping, in the balcony, ....) and running away - RATING = 4

ZONA 44 BEACH: Quite, larger than the others, clean, towel provided, friendly staff, kid's toys in very good shape, swimming pool small but very well kept and with the beach manager who make all the rules respected for the safety of everyone. We had friends who joined us from their beach even if they have the other included in their package - RATING = 5

SWIMMING POOL: This was the main reason we choose Europa Monetti and it was as good as we expected. Clean water everyday, temperature just right both in the morning and in the afternoon, good numbers of place where to lay or seat. It is not a big swimming pool but it is the right one for my little child - RATING = 5

FOOD : the restaurant was perfect - table were big enough even with a little child like mine who uses 3 different plates and six between spoons and forks. the look of the place is like a real restaurant and each meal was just perfect. breakfast is served and they prepare all the hot drinks you can ask for. lunch was at buffet but the quality is very high and the presence of 3 chefs allow you to understand what it is served. dinner is based on menu. if you need special dietary food just ask and they will do their best to satisfy you - RATING = 5

CHILDREN ACTIVITIES: In my opinion the people who manage the child activities should have a direct coordinator to obtain the maximum from their presence. but my child was always asking for Susanna so it means he likes her and what she was doing to entertain the children = RATING 4

WRAP UP: When I selected the EUROPA MONETTI I thought about the fact that after a full year of hard work I wanted to be sure to have 1 week of complete relax and no problem at all. Everything was almost perfect and I strongly suggest whoever wants to relax and enjoy their time in Cattolica to choose an hotel who can provide top service. Europa Monetti definitly can

We took the train from Rome to Cattolica to give our 11 month old a break from the stroller. Europa Monetti did not disappoint in terms of catering to our whole family.
Room - we stayed in a family/junior suite where there are 1 set of bunk beds and a twin plus bathroom for the kids on one side of the wall and then our King bed plus luxurious bathroom on the other. The hotel also provided a crib for our baby free of charge. Adult beds could use an upgrade but they weren't awful. The adult bathroom felt like a spa inside. Maids cleaned the room twice a day.
Food - amazing. A table is set for you at dinner (ours had a high chair in place making it that much easier for us). There was the entree and then main course plus salad/bread and dessert buffet - food was fantastic. Buffet breakfast too - this was just okay; a typical Italian spread. It did not compare to dinner.
Beach - a quick walk. We were there in September so there was barely anyone there. Play area and toys available for kids.
Facilities - pool was good - more of a toddler and up as it was too deep for our baby. They have a playroom and activities during the busier times of the year.
Location - quick walk from the train - easy to do with luggage. Hotel is close to the beach as noted and right in the middle of shops/restaurants.
Staff - great - they were always wanting to do more and didn't hesitate at our requests for printing and laundry.
We would definitely recommend for families.

We enjoyed staying here even though the first impression left us somewhat disappointed. I guess we had an idea that to call this a four star or boutique hotel was somewhat of a stretch due to the reviews on this site, but we did not quite expect this level of finishes or lack thereof in the room.
The couch in the "living" room of the "suite" was what I would call a prison bunk bed with metal frame and all. The bathroom though large was tiled in a 70s style tile and had a try-angular shower box from the same decade that was about 3sf in size, I am a very fit and rather tall person and I found it difficult to bend down without hitting my head somewhere. The sink for some reason was really low.
On the upside, the location was great. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, the common areas attractive and the coffee bar in the lobby really excellent. I actually did enjoy that they changed the towels when we were out for dinner so we had a fresh one in the am.
Overall, I would stay here again, but I would be very excited if they decided to upgrade their rooms.

We have been coming to this hotel since 1988 but had not been back since 2003 (what fools are we) but as Imogen says in her review you do not want anyone else to find it.
Everything about this hotel is brilliant. The family are superb and so welcoming and all the rest of the staff from reception to the bar staff and room cleaning staff cannot do enough for you.
So gald we went back and will be back next year.
The only drawback is that if you live in the north of England you can only get there from Stanstead but still worth it.

We have been visiting this wonderful family hotel for 5 years now, and every time we come away we just can't wait to return.
This is the 1st time we have reviewed it because, selfishly we just dont want anyone to find it, reason being, its just so wonderful to visit Italy and be surrounded by Italians and not the English!!! (meant in the nicest possible way!!)
We always have a Junior Suite; which has 2 bedrooms, a dressing area and a good sized bathroom. This is great for us as the children have thier own room. The food is delicious, at breakfast theres a vast choice of fruits, pastries, with the most yummy authentic polenta cake. Lunch and dinner is always an event, you just cant wait to see whats on the antipasto table, then the pasta course (3 choices) and a light and tasty main, followed by gorgeous desserts.
There is a good gym, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi too; there's is also a range of bikes you can use free of charge with a range of childrens seats for the back and front.
The private beach is a plus, with the childrens play area-always great to keep the children entertained. There is a Kids club too, for children of 3+ years- staff are great with the children, always have good range of activities planned and threre's a good range of toys in the play room too.you want
All in all - if you want a marvellous holiday in Italy-then Hotel Europa Monetti will NOT disappoint!!

Room Tip: Junior Suite is great for families!

Despite having read a disappointing review, my husband and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend in May because I was impressed` by the owner's response to the negative remarks. We`oth couples and oth couples a were so impressed by the excellent`standards of service and comfort that we came back in July with family and friends for 2 weeks and had a wonderful holiday. The Monetti family and staff are excreptional and go out of their way to ensure your stay is as relaxing, stress-free and comfortable as possible by attending to your every wish. It is a great hotel, situated in the heart of Cattolica, with something for everyone, including older couples and people with young children. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it and look forward to my next visit.
