“A wonderful family run campsite!”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

I first visited Camping Villa al Mare in 1989 when I used to take coach groups camping in Italy from the UK. Last year, having retired from the travel industry, I went back to Villa al Mare after a few years while I was traveling around Europe. This time I was there as a paying customer and spent 3 weeks camping on the site. I have to say, apart from normal modifications providing modern facilities; the place had the same happy, relaxed atmosphere I remember. The site is kept clean and tidy and the staff were warm and friendly.

The site is not huge in size compared to many of the site that run down the coastline from Cavallino to Punta Sabbioni but that’s what makes it very special. The staff get to know their guests, the place is family owned and family run. There is a very cosy community feeling around the site.

On site there is a small supermarket which sells fresh food daily and has a good selection of local produce and a small shop selling newspapers, bucket and spades, bats and balls etc. There is a good bar and restaurant which serves everything from a breakfast coffee to a nightcap after a lovely evening meal served to you as you gaze out over the fantastic Adriatic Sea. The reception at the entrance of the site keeps the place safe and secure 24/7 and the staff located there has a wealth of local knowledge. The crowning jewel of Villa al Mare must be its location right next to the private sandy beach where you have no problem relaxing during the day. You can hire beach service or simply find a spot for you and your family to stretch out and enjoy the sun. The sea is warm and clear and it’s quite safe to swim and have fun in (always stay safe of course). You can hire pedal boats, join in with some organised games or buy a delicious icecream from the beachbar.

The location of Camping Villa al Mare couldn’t be better. It is on a regular bus route that runs between the lively Lido di Jesolo and Punta Sabbioni from where it is easy to get to Venice by ferry straight into St Marks Square. If you like you can hire a bicycle from reception and explore the area by yourself.

In summary Camping Villa al Mare is a wonderful place to stay with your family, as a couple or a solo traveller. It is nice to meet up with old friends who return year after year and newcomers are welcomed and made to feel part of the family which is truly Villa al Mare!

Great campside, with all amenities and not too large. Wonderfull beach next to a lighthouse; so you are not surrounded by other touristy campsides. A nice restaurant overlooking the beach and the ocean, with great food and decent staff. The toilet facilities were cleaned twice a day, and the marked and bazar stocked everything you could want.

The best thing about the place has to be the staff, though. The cleaning crew always greeted everyone, and the receptionists were outstanding in their friendliness and eagerness to help. You can rent bycicles and visit nearby places and markeds.

Bus and ferry ride to Venice takes 1 hour, and costs 18,- euro. For 22 euro you can also take multiple ferries to the islands (murano...) great value for money!!

we will be back.

Vor 15-16 years we spend our holidays in this camping. We turn back twice a year, in May and in August, The whole environment is beautiful. We can get here everything, we need. There are restaurants, shops, cafes closed to ,but also inside in camping there is a restaurant, minishop. You can make excursions or just walk around. Jesolo Lido is near, or you can make a trip to Venice. We like this camping very much, because it's not big, just the suitable size. It takes one minute to go to the beach, so it's not a problem to go back if you forget something in your tent. The camping has a private territory for it' guests. Not only the beach but the swimmingpool inside in camping is a paradise for children, but there are special programmes organised for them by the staff. So the parents can rest.
The camping is well-ordered, there are enough shower/bath room, Wc, cleared twice a day.
In evenings you can enjoy the music programmes disco, live music and so on.
We like to come here very much because the family Ballarin and the staff are very helpful and friendly. They do their best for you even some times you have special request. We stayed already in Maxicaravans and in bungalow, it was very comfortable for us. Also we stayed in Residence Le Dune . It has high quality and beautiful appartaments and an excellent fitness center. We were also in Croatia, but there the camping was too large, everything was to far and the camping places were too small and stony, so we prefer to come to Cavallino in Villa al mare.

For me and my family this camping is perfect. First of al the atmosfare is calm and friendly. We stayed in one of the new caravans witch means your in "contact" with the area. As the camping is closed al around and have a private beach with beach watchers you can let your children play and explore without being worried. It has a good restaurant, market, pool and jacussi's what more can you ask for.
I would really recomend this camping for my friends and have no doubt they will be satisfied.

Room Tip: As in all campings you have a more people walking and talking near the gate and restaurang, if you s...
