We stayed in this hotel last night and were so happy with our stay. Our room was exceptionally clean, bright and comfortable with beautiful local art on the walls that was also for sale and can be bought from the shop owner next door. The hotel reception staff, especially Fabiana (sorry if incorrect spelt) were exceptionally helpful, by printing off train time tables, posting postcards and Fabiana interpreted for us with the shop owner next door. The hotel is in the beautiful old historic area, close to restaurants, the beach and entrance to the climb up to The Rocco. Breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit, cakes, croissants, breads and some Sicilian dishes as well. Coffee including cappuccino and tea and cold options such as iced tea were also available - there was the choice of eating in a small courtyard or inside. Thank you for making our stay such an enjoyable experience in your beautiful city Cefalu. We loved Cefalu and it was one of our favourite destinations during our eleven night tour of Sicily. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Our second stay at Plumeria was as good as the first! The staff is incredibly attentive. Room 105, the family room, is large enough for our family of 4 (1 queen bed, 2 fold-out sofa beds with comfortable mattresses) and has a step-out balcony large enough to enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the view of the street below, even as the kids are napping. The a/c worked well. The location is perfect; steps from the main piazza, the beach, and the prime eateries located on the water. For the most part, breakfast is typical of Italian 4-star hotels, with meats, cheeses, and fruit; however, staff bakes incredible cakes, the aromas for which fill the halls and stairways. Towels for the beach are provided, and staff made a reservation for us at their preferred pay beach so that we were seated in the front row with a great view of the water and kids swimming. While the pay-beach did not have great food, we brought in pizza from one of the pizzerias on the street just steps above. The walk back from the beach takes you past the wonderful shops; and, because Cefalu is still off the beaten path for most, there are fewer aprons with pictures of "David" on the front, and more charming stores with locally produced wares. Hiking about town is simple, and has huge payoffs with amazing views. We hiked outside the walls on an an established path, which made for to-die-for sunset pictures and videos. The main piazza at night is a fantastic, with plenty of gelateria so that you can get a cup, sit on the stairs in front of the duomo, and enjoy a masterfully lit stage. Although the hotel staff speaks perfect English, enjoy not hearing too much of it as you're out and about; Cefalu seems to be a destination for Italians on holiday rather than for Americans. If you speak a little Italian, use it; the local appreciate the effort. Finally, although we didn't stay in room 301, we were afforded a preview for our next strip sans-kids; it's a double with separate t.v. and seating area. But, room 301 is more of a terrace with a room attached than anything else: stunning 180 degree views of the town, mountain side, and water. Next time....

This is a lovely small hotel, located in just the right place to enjoy the beautiful town of Cefalu. Do not let the parking issue deter you if driving. It is not much of a hassle to leave your car at their free car park, just outside of the old town (they will send you details when you book a room) and call the hotel and they will send a taxi promptly. It's only about 1 km away and they will pay for the taxi both ways. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is of a nice style. Our room was pretty small and basic but comfortable. It was on the lane side so situated right in the middle of people's homes, which you can look directly from your hotel room. The front side of the hotel faces a larger street full of shops and restaurants. Breakfast was a delight and you could have it indoors or out. Our choice was in the little private lane, enjoying watching the locals go about their business, greeting each other warmly, and hearing the fruit and veg man bellowing his wares. It is lively and inviting but others may find it too noisy; taste is subjective. The hotel will provide you beach towels and a discount card for the umbrella and beach lounger, and the nearest beach is just 5 minutes walk away. Cefalu was a pleasure to visit and the Plumeria was a great base to enjoy it. The free wifi worked well. Only suggestions for improvement is to upgrade the towels - they were hard and scratchy, and if possible, change the door locks as there was a lot of banging noise from them. Noise from the lane was not an issue at all for us.

A very comfortable small hotel located in the historic area of Cefalu. A perfect location for exploring.
Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and very well decorated.
The breakfast buffet was very enjoyable and we enjoyed it outside.
We would definitely stay here again. There is no charge for parking in a private lot and a taxi ride is provided to the hotel without charge.

We stayed for 4 nights arriving at midnight on our first night. The room was clean and airy. The location is fantastic - close to shops, restaurants, beaches and places of interest. Yes, there can be a bit of noise from the street but it did not bother us or keep us awake. Whilst the competitor hotels are opposite the beach they are a little further out and you do not get the same buzz as you do from staying in the middle of the old town. Breakfast is grand, filling with different choices to suit most tastes – however it is similar most days. I would have no problem staying here again. We used the free car parking which would probably be 5-10 minute walk to the hotel however the hotel organised and paid for our taxi both ways.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 201 and had two small balconies one of which over looked the street. The wifi sign...

Traveling with Wilderness Travel and this hotel one of our stops. Immaculate and charming. Everything looks brand new. Nice bathroom. Not on water but great location. Interesting art thru out. Think all rooms have balconies which is nice. Convenient for a bit of laundry. Very friendly staff and good breakfast.
