Back from a week at the Astro Suite. The hotel is very clean and the facilities are good - free air-con, safe, free beach/pool towels, although the pool is quite small. Found the bed very comfortable and the kitchen very useful if you wanted to cook a simple meal, and it has a full-size fridge for the essential wine & beer. The only thing missing was a couple of wine glasses. Breakfast was plentiful - cereals, pastries, fruit, breads, cheese, fruit etc and didn't seem to run out. Giovanni and his staff are all very friendly and helpful, and there was always someone around if you needed assistance. We had a first floor room with, unfortunately, a view of the (dormant) building site next door. However, as it was never in use there was no danger of being overlooked as it would have been if the hotel had been completed. The beach was a lot busier than expected (not like the photos) but this was due to the time of year and the fact that there was also a religious festival on at the time. The town was also very busy and I would advise booking if you intend to eat in the popular restaurants. Would consider returning but not in August.

Stayed here for 7 nights on a package deal with Thomson in August - would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a central location in Cefalu within walking distance of the beach (across the road!) and restaurants etc in the old town.

Rooms are ideal if you are staying with children and want separate sleeping areas and the (fairly basic) cooking facilities within the suites do give the added option of limited self-catering.

Other than the great location this is a really unpretentious 4* hotel but for all that the service from the staff is friendly and efficient.

Highly recommended - and the Wi-Fi is free and it works!!

We stayed here a few days in June, and wish I could have been longer. This was an incredibly good hotel, large clean room with a large balcony that had a view of the sea and the city. Good air-conditioned, soundproofed rooms, beautiful design. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, it was also the staff. Incredibly good service. Will gladly return.

We used TripAdvisor when we decided to choose Astro Suite for our summer holiday. So we already knew that it is a good hotel and we had high expectations.

And it was even better than that...
It's not just about the building, The hotel is almost new, the apartments are big, everything is very clean and the rooms very cozy. Plus they have a beautiful sea&town-view.
It's not just about the location, either. the hotel is practically on the beach (sandy beach which is also very good, and the sunbeds are included in the cost of apartment) and very close to the old town.

....It's about the people. All the staff is absolutely great, polite and always smiling. Including the owner. And Giovanni is the cherry on the top. He is everything you wish, as a tourist, to have by your side in your vacation. Due to him and his colleagues, our 14 days in Sicily were perfect.

Thanks again, Giovanni,
Alexandra, Cristina and Alex salute you!

Room tip: Higher floors, front side.

We stayed the last 2 weeks in June 2014. The hotel is excellent, staff are very helpful and friendly. When we arrived the staff were there to welcome us and help everyone get settled in their rooms, explaining everything we needed to know. The small thing they did like making sure there was bottled water in the room (the supermarket closed at 1pm on Sunday's) and the insect repellents they supplied, the beach towels and other small touches really made you feel welcome. There was no extra charge for the Aircon or the safe. We had a room right at the front and it looked out onto the beach - it was beautiful and kept spotlessly clean by the friendly cleaning staff. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful and everything was fresh the waitresses kept everything fully stocked and nothing was to much trouble - this goes for all the staff who work there. It certainly lived up to it's "Small and friendly" and I would even say exceeded it!!! It is the best Hotel I have ever stayed in. Lisa the Thomsons rep at the hotel was superb, very friendly and helpful and a credit to Thomsons - Lisa supplied us with all the bus/train times for exploring round and about and could answer most questions (if she did not know the answer she would find out and let us know).
Cefalu is a lovely town and everyone is polite, it has a beautiful beach and harbour (used in the film Cinema Paradiso). There are some very good restaurants in the town serving good food.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it certainly is first class!!!

Room tip: All rooms are of the same high standard - the rooms right at the front on floors 1 & 2 have best views over the beach.
