This hotel has wonderful views of Lake Como. The hotel is a little dated, the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's downfall for me is that the rooms are small, nowhere to put the luggage, except on the floor and then it was in the way. Our window overlooked the lake, worth the 10 euros extra. We had dinner here the first night and it was good, really enjoyed the food, service was a little slow because there was only one waiter, Manuel, he was a charm. Breakfast didn't match up to dinner, it was a bit disappointing, but still it started us off for the day.
There is car parking, wifi is free but signal is patchy. There is also a pool.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view, Como is beautiful!

Our room was smaller than an economy ship room. The furniture was worse than yard sale.Old painted junk with glued on plastic rose panels. a plastic headboard. couches in the lounge with those fit any couch covers ripped or worn. in the dining room t
When asked for vodka on the rocks they gave me watered down vodka which I returned and they said well that was because they were out of vodka but they served it anyway . So when I complained they said they would make the junk complimentary... We asked for a new room they said to ask tomorrow. we asked tomorrow they said we should have asked earlier. DONT GO.

What is great about this hotel is it's breath taking views, the pool, it's relatively fair price for the lake cuomo area, parking garage and the front desk staff who were very nice & extremely knowledgeable about the area. The rooms however are very dated and for our family of 4 were just uncomfortable. The AC did not work in the upstairs sleeping area and for some reason our room was never "adequately cleaned". During our stay last weekend the hotel hosted weddings each evening and I think that impacted the overall level of service. It just wasn't easy to get a drink or a snack by the pool always felt like we had to go to the front desk to ask someone to help us. The trade off to the amazing view is the location which is not very convenient there are no restaurants, markets or even cafes you can walk to - you are very secluded to your hotel. So when we would go out there was always that concern that we would be driving back up the mountain at night through some crazy twists and turns. After traveling to some of the other towns like Tremezzo I think next time we will stay there - easier access to Bellagio, equally beautiful but a bit easier and livelier. I would recommend this hotel if you really want seclusion and to stay in Cernobbio but I would recommend you spend some time looking at the map of the region and realizing that even a short distance can take a long time given the time of year you are traveling and that you are driving on mountain roads.

We arrived there last minute after being forced to stay in Cernobbio due to some car trouble. The guy at the reception was very kind on the phone when we asked for availabilities. After arriving there we got the garage for free to compensate our car trouble and he arranged a room with a beautiful lake view!

The staff is very kind and helpful, at the bar, during breakfast, at the pool. We can strongly advice to stay there, just for the view alone!

Room Tip: Get a lake view!

.. Asnigo Hotel was a late day drop in with hopes of a room available that worked. Dates were a little off season worked in our favor too. Staff was patient with odd hour arrival - 8PM or so. They let us pick & choose from few available rooms. On approach - if dark - be aware of a hairpin curve in the road at their parking lot entrance.Important - pick a room AWAY from that curve in the road as the motor bikes roar around it at all hours blowing their horn for safety. Our greedy travel companions regretted their decision made in haste to "get the best".We snickered to ourselves in our quiet room ! We traveled out of this hotel for three days. Proved good for that need. This stay was a few years ago so date indicated below was as close as I could get.
Food was good/fairly priced. We would go back without a second thought !
