“Excellent hotel in cycling heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2014

My recent stay was my 14th trip to the hotel. The hotel is absolutely brilliant for cycling with simply stunning routes dotted with hilltop villages and beautiful climbs and descents. For triathletes there is a fantastic heated 25m pool with lane markers and a pine forest and beach right next door to the hotel for running.
The hotel itself is very clean with good rooms with excellent showers. The staff are fantastic and extremely friendly. Breakfast and dinner are superb and just what you need after a hard day. There is an excellent salad and vegetable buffet and meals are served quickly having ordered your choices the evening before. There are a number of good places for lunch on the beach about 100m from the front door including one run by the hotel which offers very good panini, salads and pasta.
Any bicycles are stored in alarmed and CCTV monitored storage rooms so you do not have to worry about them. Transfers to the hotel are very reasonably priced.
The hotel is family run and they are extremely pleasant and helpful. The owner organises several rides a week which are highly recommended for those wanting to explore the countryside with a guide and have an excellent lunch!
The hotel represents excellent value for money and I can't think of many better places to go for a training holiday. Although my review is biased towards sporting trips there are many interesting places to explore such as Ravenna, St. Leo, Rimini and San Marino if you have a car. The canals of Cesenatico are lovely and a perfect spot for lunch with excellent sea food.
I would certainly recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: Upper floors are the quietest.

Stay here and you won't be disappointed, wonderful owners and great staff who really can't do enough for you. Hotel and rooms very clean, delicious food and an amazing self service choice of salad/vegetable. Fantastic 25mtr outdoor pool, small gym, playroom for children, bike hire. Situated very close to a lovely beach with many beach cafes.

My first stay at Beau Soleil to ride in the Nove Colli sportive. Went with friends who were back for their 14th year which says it all!

Friendly and efficient family run hotel. Stefania and Andrea run it day to day with Dante Delvecchio as a friendly father figure often around.

Really geared up for sports holidays - triathletes, cyclists but also just a good place to stay by the beach with the pool either for serious swimming or for children.

Great 25m pool for lane simming, 50m from the beach through sandy pine forest which is perfect for running or walking. Children's playgrounds in the pines.

2miles or so from the centre of Cesenatico, easily accessible by bike.

I will definitely be back!

Stayed here with large group of triathletes in May 2013 - it was our third visit, and the place just gets better. All the important things for an athlete - food, training facilities, pool, rooms, bike storage, beach and sea are all first class. The running in the woods is excellent, the area is famous for it's cycling, and the local bars and lunch spots are all superb. The hotel staff are very helpful and generous in their understanding of little things like providing swimming towels, all make staying at an athlete friendly venue a joy. Can't wait to go back next year!

Whether you want to swim, run, bike or just relax this is place to stay. Facilities include a lovely 25mtr x 6 lane heated outdoor pool, sauna and a small gym. Bikes available for hire or take your own, secure bike rooms. The small nature reserve of pine trees next to the hotel provides shade for running or walking and the clean sandy beach has many cafes/restaurants serving food/drinks all day. The family owned hotel is clean and well maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is generous and plentiful. Just one problem, especially if you are a light sleeper, there are no carpets anywhere in the hotel and late night revellers or early morning risers who care not for other guests trying to sleep can sound very loud and make you wish you had taken ear plugs with you. It's a great place though.

Room Tip: stayed twice and had rooms on the first floor at the side of the hotel which looked onto a flat roof...

You could not ask for more helpful staff or a more scenic location. Ideal as a cycling base. The pool is amazing and the food plentiful. Rooms clean and tidy, facilities/play room for the little ones, bar for the adults. Above all it is the feeling of being welcomed and made to feel special.

I stayed here for the first time with my triathlon club in May 2013. Of the group, many have been coming here for several years and I can see why. The facilities for sporty people are perfect - particularly for runners, swimmers and cyclists. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the food is plentiful (I loved the breakfasts) and the staff are wonderful.

As there were 12 of us, we were allocated our own bike storage which takes the stress out of wondering whether the bikes would be safe. On our first day, we went on Dante's bike ride (around 50 miles) with a brilliant food and wine stop after the main descent - what a treat! It was also a very good way of getting to know some of the other people in the hotel - particularly good if you are staying on your own. Some of us were also taking part in the spectacular Novi Colli bike race later in the week and this was all smoothly arranged by the hotel. This was a fabulous day with a very fun party in the evening.

The swimming pool is excellent and just across the (very quiet) street and we used it almost every day. Plenty of sun loungers and towels meant that we could snooze our exertions away in the sun. The beach is less than a five minute stroll, so sea swims are easy to arrange. The pine forest which is right next to the beach is fabulous, with a lovely wooded running trail through it - great when it's hot or you want a change from running on tarmac.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and I understand that most of them have worked there for years - always a good indication of good management. I loved my stay - it was far too short and I can't wait to come back again.
