Chioggia was a super base for our family holiday in north-east Italy. The town itself is beautiful, the bridges and canals making a lovely backdrop to a very relaxing stay. There is a wide choice of pizza, pasta and fish restaurants for eating out each evening. We found El Fontego to be our favourite. The nearby beach of Sottomarina was an easy walk that took us past a fantastic gelato shop - The Art of Gelato (I think it was called). For us, it was the best of an excellent bunch! We were lucky enough to be there for the Chioggia festival which added to our enjoyment during the weekend evenings. We hired a car, enabling us to get around easily, and we made two trips to Venice and one down the coast to the Po Delta, where we went canoeing. We all loved Venice, especially walking around the ghetto. The apartment was clean and no frills, and would have benefited from a sofa or two more comfortable chairs in the living room (for a 4 bed apartment). The owners were extremely responsive to any contact up to and including our stay, and seemed a lovely, helpful couple. They met us with the keys and had prepared lots of information about nearby places. Overall we had a great holiday.
Christina and Diego were very friendly, efficient and even helped us out , dealing with a traffic crash in the very tight street. The flat is recently renovated, and as stated in the description.
A sofa, and another cupboard in the kitchen would have helped us four.
