“Excellent Stop-over”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2014 via mobile

Clean, cozy and easy to get to. Found the Villa to be a wonderful location to stay as it is easy walk from the train station and to the cruise dock. The self serve breakfast, while basic, was plenty and got the day going nicely. We would recommend Villa Susanna to anyone without young children. (Very quiet and not much space in rooms for more than two.)

I used this place as a one night stop over before boarding my cruise ship the next day,
Its very basic, its very clean and tidy, and very close to the cruise ship embarkation point, which is only about 10 minutes away on foot.
So ideal for all you cruise lovers.

Despite us having a really good map, this guest house proved very difficult to find, due to lack of street name signage which of course is not the fault of Villa Susanna. However, probably the only good thing was the clean bed. We were allocated a room at the front which overlooks quite a busy road. Coupled with the incessant dog barking it didn't make for a good night's sleep. It certainly is DIY, from the coded door entrance, to the pre packed breakfast, we only saw 1 person who was looking for payment. The shower was old and quite disgusting. The 'breakfast' is beyond basic with only 2 plastic spoons between 8 people. Toaster & Microwave out of action and coffee defies an explanation. 2 croissants on 2 trays - 1 on others. Just expected a bit more after reading reviews.

We stayed at this small B and B prior to catching a cruise out of Civitavecchia.
The room was large and very clean. We stored our bags there as we arrived very early and had our room at 12.00 noon. they provided free WiFi and a self serve basic breakfast.
The owner was most helpful and very pleasant.
It is close to the port and the train station and a short walk to the main shopping centre and restaurants.
We thought that it was very good value.

Room Tip: One away from the street would be the best if available.

Villa Susanna was clean and helpful in ordering a taxi to take us and another family to the port. We shared the cost. Breakfast was basic but adequate. The location is good and it was interesting to walk around the area. The beds were comfortable and even though there was only a fan the room was quite cool.

Me and my wife stayed here before and after our ship cruise. In short, we can highly recomend the B&B for a stayover. It has big clean rooms, with aircon and the W Fi is working. The owener is friendly and helpfull. The B&B is really close to the station and port. To the negative side...for us it was,..the breakfast consist of 2 slices of white bread and a tipe of "cake". there was plenty of coffee, butter and jam. The coffee was terreble for us, we could not drink it !!. There is a supermarket closeby, where we bought instant coffee,.and there is also a recommended cafe for breakfast. BUT SAID ALL THIS, WE WILL AGAIN STAY OVER WITH THEM, and as a matter of fact, our friends HAS MADE A BOOKING WITH THEM FOR SEPTEMBER.

Room Tip: We were in no 1. It has its own bathroom. Room no 2 also its own bathroom. The other 2 rooms has it...

Interesting is the best word to describe this accommodation. Virtually a self service B&B, we were in room 3, which has the external private toilet and shower room. It was an enjoyable experience and I think the do it yourself breakfast brings the guests more together. For one or two nights I would definetly recommend a stay at the Sussana B&B. Not plush but clean, comfortable and serves the purpose.
