I wanted to see how Prosecco was bottled so I chose one of the premier makers and reserved a tour several months in advance. Confirmed it a couple weeks in advance. When we arrived they told us the tour was cancelled because the owner had to be in Milan. We had driven 50 miles and paid tolls plus planned the day around them to be turned away. They dis sell us some of their finest for a good price, but I am still in the dark about how Prosecco production is different from method champanois.
