A very quirky chalet but perfect for 2 families to share. All went well with the booking and our arrival, when we were met and shown round. Bottled gas in the kitchen which always had us worrying it would run out mid cook! Fabulous view from the balcony over Cortina and the Dolomites. Beautiful

With its perfect location just a stone throw away from the slopes of Tofana with its world famous Labirinti piste this Chalet is perfect for skiers who does not need the buzz of Cortina, if you want to it's just 10 minutes away by car or bus. If your lucky and the snow conditions are good you can ski out of the Chalet.
Talking about the Apartment i t has it all, nice unique decorations with a mountainous touch. The sleeping quarters are all located separate from the living room so some people can go to bed early after a day of skiing and they are not disturbed if someone stays up late watching TV or something. All in all, a perfect apartment för 8-9 people and I waiting to go back again.

The chalet was well appointed and ample for the nine of us that stayed there. The organisation was efficient, the local guy was helpful and there was no hassle with the return of the damage deposit at the end of the hols.
It was nice and handy for trips into Cortina and up to the hills for via Farrate.
The views from the balcony were to die for.
Highly recommended

The location turned out to be perfect from the standpoint of ski area accessibility.
There is a bus station at the Alexandria but found that the bus didn't run as often to the city as we would have liked.
You have access to the ski run right behind Alexandria but will have to hike to get to it from the chalet , which has a steep driveway to the road but not long- not exactly ski in-ski out. In the spring its a bit more iffy to start from that elevation. In our case we didn't have as much snow so the first run down to reach the lifts to take you up was really icy. We preferred to drive up close to cinque torre or others.
The house has enough space to accommodate a large group, but don't expect to take any really long baths. Being that you are in the mansard it was a little bit of a challenge to determine how to use the showers without banging the head or spraying the floor but figured it out. The place is really rustic and we liked that about it, a real enjoyable environment after a good ski. It boasts fabulous views and being on the top floor you weren't impacted by neighbors. There was ample parking. The kitchen is a bit dated yet functional with adequate pots, pans, and dishes. Plenty of seating for a large group and a nice big terrace to sit on to enjoy sunsets, which were outstanding. We come back for sure. However, you need to be aware that you pay for heating separately. In the end it didn't break the bank -about 150euro for the week and we showered twice a day. Also we were very impressed at how clean the place was.

First time to Cortina. A wonderful place. Chalet is well located on the west side of Cortina. You will need a car for access.
Very close to great hiking and climbing.
Chalet is quiet, roomy and has lots of character. Great hot water for soaking.
Kitchen is tight if you are planning gourmet meals. We ate out most nights as food is great and inexpensive.
Aleardo ( owner ) - was most helpful and responsive.
Tips ( we are from USA )
Best shoppinmg for groceries is at COOP in town.
Most shops close between noon and 3:30 bu are open later. Closed on Sundays and Wed afternoons.
Parking cost 2 EU per hrs til 8 pm.
Restaurants are plentiful and many of the recommendations on TA were helpful.
September is a prefect time. Crowds are gone and weather usually great.

Easy house to rent for people with kids with breathtaking views looking at the Dolomites! Great location within a few minutes walk to the slopes and a short drive to reach the skiing school for the kids. As the center of Cortina is only 5 km away from the house we enjoyed many lovely & relaxing evenings with aperitivos, lunches, dinners & shopping! Only thing I would suggest is to have a big bag of salt/sand in the car as the weather conditions can change during the day & the parking place under the house can turn out to be a difficult place of get your car out!
