Ute and her property made our trip to Cortina and the Dolomites one of the best experiences we have ever had. The unit itself is larger than it looks and is furnished with everything you could possible need. There are two balconies with views of the nearby mountains. She also has great mountain bikes, via Ferrata kits and hiking poles which we used alarmist every day. I highly recommend staying here!
We had a wonderful week in the appartment which has a great view on the montains. The appartment is very nice and there is also everything provided for doing ferratas and biking. Ute is a wonderful host making us feel very welcome. We plan to come back ....
We were a group of six 21-23 year olds travelling Europe for the summer, and the dolomite's was one of the things on our to do list. Cortina is a great region of the dolomites to stay in close to many of the most popular Via ferrata routes.
We were travelling on a budget however figured we'd treat ourselves to not camping for one week and man was it worth it! The price is only a few euro more expensive than camping per night and includes via ferrata kits + mountain bikes. The apartments, layout, decor and facilities are great too, a very homely flat with everything you could possibly need/want. Comfortable beds, a bath, nice TV, fast wifi.
Our host was great, very friendly and always on hand to give us advice and make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The flat was very clean and tidy upon arrival and included many books and leaflets about the area. and we were even treated to some complimentary food and drink which was a nice touch.
In summary the perfect place to kick back and enjoy an nice cold beer after a long day on the mountains :)
We have just returned from winter holidays in this fantastic apartment. We are a family of five and it was ideal for us. The apartment was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Ute is a warm and welcoming host. We really appreciated details like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. There was fresh bread, milk, a basket of fruit and prosecco in the fridge, when we arrived! The position is ideal for Cortina . There is just a short drive to the lifts and it's easy to park. The internet was good too! (it is very important for youngsters). Definitely recommended if you are looking for a place to stay in Cortina!
Thank you for a lovely stay in this apartment, We really have nothing bad to say, We arrived quite late in the evening and were greeted by a very friendly, informative host and breakfast supplies all ready for us, the wealth of local knowledge and books available helped us plan our week and everything we needed such as bikes , bags and harness's were all there. High quality equipment and apartment with everything you need. This is our second stay in Cortina, we love the Dolomites, and it was all made so easy and convenient from this accommodation. Would highly recommend. A very happy family of 6
Our family of four with 6 year old and 9 year old children, had a fantastic time at this apartment. I cannot fault the location, the fit out, the comfy beds, the huge range of books and maps, the bikes and via ferrata gear or the lovely hostess Ute. Thanks to Ute's fantastic advice on surrounding mountains and which areas and activities would suit us best we had four amazing hikes through tunnels, behind waterfalls, always with amazing mountain views! I hope that one day we can come back and would book this apartment again without a second thought. We have stayed in lots of places and this one ticked every box. Thank you so much Ute. We hope to be back!
I can not say enough amazing things about Cortina, this amazing apartment or Ute and Vito. We stayed here for 3 weeks from late June through mid July.
The apartment was perfect for my family - great location just outside of town, very well setup and stocked with everything we needed (including breakfast food!), and very clean. There are amazing views outside of every window, and all the amenities Ute described were provided and worked perfectly. It is in a quiet location, and you can sleep with the windows open without being disturbed by the roads or other people. The bikes were great to have, as my kids rode around the area, and we used them on the mountain bike trails around the area. The Ferrata kits were a total blast - we didn't have a good concept about the ferrata hiking, but they were invaluable and a lot of fun!
Ute and Vito met us the first day (and we saw them during our stay too), and were so helpful. Not only about the apartment, but things to do in Cortina especially for our kids, restaurants, shopping, day trips we could take, etc, etc. We can not thank you enough for your hospitality and hope to reciprocate one day in Boston.
As far as Cortina, we have taken many hiking/mountain vacations - in the Canadian and USA rockies, New England, New Zealand; but the Dolomites have to have some of the most beautiful vistas we have seen anywhere. Tons of hiking opportunities along rivers, through forests, above treeline. The weather was ideal - sunny, pleasant days and cool nights. We were at the apartment for 3 weeks, and had perhaps one rainy day, as well as a few strong thunderstorms. I know I am supposed to add some drawbacks, but the only one I can think of is that much (but not all) of the hiking is quite steep so you will be getting a good workout.
If their place is available when you are going, stop looking at other properties and contact Ute. Enjoy!
