We stayed here because a cyclist friend had recommended it. His recommendation was well justified. We were there right at the end of the summer season and there was some question whether they'd stay open for one more night to accommodate us. However they did and I'm delighted about that. I was there for the Sella Ronda Bike Day when four mountain passes are closed to traffic for a day, and us cyclists can ride the roads without traffic noise and other bad things. My wife was there under sufferance but found enough to entertain her in the shops and sitting in late summer sun. Anyway - the hotel; in short - very good. Specifically - dinner was splendid - beautifully presented, full of flavour and adequate for anyone after a day's riding (or walking) in the mountains. Breakfast was full of choice and again very well presented. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Ours had a balcony overlooking the road and the church. Noise from the road was a bit of an issue but not significant until Monday morning. The church bells are LOUD; but the last big daily ding dong is 10 pm and the next is 7 am. Have to say I managed to sleep through until after 8 am. Overall, I'm delighted to recommend Villa Tony to anyone who enjoys excellent food, an easy but professional service style, mountain views, and an interest in being active whether walking, cycling or winter sport (or shopping and sitting in the sun!). Oh - one last thing - because the hotel was officially closed for our last evening and morning - our breakfast was served in their private room - but lacked nothing. Quite extraordinary, and typical of their approach to hospitality.

Room Tip: Away from the road to avoid traffic noise and daytime church bells. At the front to get great views...

This was my third time to stay in Villa Tony. It gets better!!!!! I first visited the Dolomites and stayed in Corvara in 1975. It is a very beautiful mountain town/village. Doing a long distance walk four years ago we decided to drop down to Corvara for a few days rest. We were lucky to find this fine hotel. Now I think that I keep looking for an excuse to keep going back there as I like the hotel so much! (Something I never normally do) It is in the centre of the village just across the street from the Church, the visitor information centre, and near the bus stop. The hotel is all you can ask for. It is clean comfortable and warm and quiet at night. The food is FANTASTIC! We stayed half board and it is a fine arrangement.
The hotel is family run and they make you feel very welcome, and they are very helpful when you need advice in planning walks, outings etc.
There is a sauna etc which we did not use as the weather was so good while we were there, so I can't comment on it. But it is good to have it as a fall back if you get "mountain weather"

Room Tip: All the rooms seem to be on a par but some are bigger than others. We booked a larger room which en...

We have stayed here more than once and each time we have been amazed at the very high quality at a reasonable price. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is delicious both for breakfast and dinner. It is family run by very nice friendly people. Tony is a mine of information about the nearby mountains which are splendid.
