Borgo Muratori is a fantastic place to stay in Italy. Springtime in Liguria is perfect as is the delightful accommodation provided by the wonderful host Maura. My husband and I enjoyed a glorious week at Borgo Muratori and would return in an instant. One week was definitely not long enough, there are so many things to see and do. It is an excellent base to explore the interesting hillside villages, the coastline (which glimmers from the windows, beckoning), the antique markets in Nice, Monaco, Hanbury Gardens and so much more!
The food in this area is delicious from la farinata to the amazing seafood, all was consumed with great gusto and enjoyment. The many walks around the area helped offset the over- indulgence.
Our accommodation was beautiful, we stayed in Il Melograno, the lovely cottage which was private, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. The views from the windows were stunning, the ocean sparkling in the sunshine over glorious rural vistas. We were given a tour of the flats which were amazing, we would love to experience each and every one of them. For people wanting a slice of history in beautifully renovated and wonderfully decorated surroundings, this is a perfect example of Italian life, past and present. Our thanks go to Maura who added the final touch, charm, thoughtfulness, and a vivacious, friendly welcome. We long to return!More
