I was living in the Hotel Torino with my wife in September 2013. This is a very good hotel, rooms are beautiful and clean, food very tasty, the service on the highest level, good location, near to the beautiful sandy beach (the beach facilities are included in the price). There is a parking and an underground garage.

We stayed in Hotel Torino for the fourth time. That's because we enjoy staying there so much! The staff is frendly and helpfull.
Our room was very clean and large, with a fully equipped bathroom and a large balcony. Breakfast and dinner are very good! We would advice you to book halfboard.
The location is very good: near the citycentre and the trainstation and 150 mtr from the beach.
There's a parking and a parkinggarage for a fair price.
The beach facilities are included in the price and that is a great extra! The hotel also has a swimmingpool and even a jacuzzi on the rooftop.
Also the possibility to use bikes is nice! A bikeride to Imperia is beautiful. There's a bicycle path along the coastline.
Visit for instance San Remo, Albenga or Alassio. Easy to reach by train.

Stayed with family in August 2013. Hotel is not directly on the beach but it's only 150m warming-up walk through very nice historic area of Diano Marina. The hotel possesses own space on a clean and safe sandy beach. Ligurian Sea is very clean in comparison with Adriatic coast of Italy. The town of Diano Marina in driving proximity to upscale resorts on French Riviera such as Monaco, Cannes and Nice. Italian Genova, San Remo, Imperia, Savona and Portofino are also nearby. We have spent two weeks in this nice hotel and luckily the weather permitted to swim every day. Any other afternoon was dedicated to visiting the above-mentioned towns in Italy and France.
The hotel itself was really good: friendly and professional staff, clean elegant rooms (mid size for Europe), spacious parking area (although with a bit difficult approach for mid to big size passenger cars). Lots of shops and affordable restaurants with tasty Italian food around the property.
Cons to include bad WiFi, paid car parking and a little overprice. We took B&B option and did not try lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurant. The breakfast was OK but could be more diverse.
For net year, if I don't find any other interesting and affordable place with sandy beach within reasonable driving range from Prague, we will definitely re-visit the place.
I recommend the hotel Torino in Diano Marina.

Room Tip: Families with 2 teenagers are advised to choose 2 rooms (double and twin) rather than pricy suite with one bathroom.

Just back from 7 nights at Hotel Torino, very friendly staff, great breakfasts, nice family room, good location and a spot on a private beach included. Smallish swimming pool but uncrowded so not a problem. Only negative would be that the 4th floor room we were in was directly under the roof terrace where breakfast is served - so there was no chance of a lay-in once the chairs were being moved around at around 7:30 each morning.
We had a largish hire car and here was no problem fitting it into the underground car park across the road.

We returned to the Hotel Torino this summer for a 10-day stay, because this one really has it all. Almost.
The staff is fantastic, rooms are beautiful (we found the mattresses to be ridiculously hard, though), the little town with its large pedestrian area brimming with shops, boutiques and people is very charming, the beach is somewhat crowded and a few minutes' walk away, but it's sandy (not necessarily obvious on this coast) and very gentle (50 m from shore you can still stand, so it's perfect also for smaller kids, and the water warms quickly)...
In my opinion, possibly the only real shortcoming is the food. While it's objectively quite decent, it's presented rather poorly, on small plates, with cheap cutlery. And having to choose in the morning what you want to eat for dinner always resulted in lengthy deliberations and some frustration. On the other hand, staff is very flexible to cook "specials" for the kids.
Oh, and if your car is any bigger than a mid-size sedan, you may want to avoid the underground car park. It's rather well suited for Fiat 500's, not so much for family cars or SUVs.

Thank you for your review and for your kind words about our hotel and services.

We are glad to hear you are a returning customer and we believe this is a good sign.

We would like to point out it that it is not strictly necessary to choose in the morning what you want to eat for dinner (half board service). You could ask our staff as they are always helpful and they would have told you that it is always possible to order directly in the evening, if this is better for you. In addition we always offer “specials” for kids, as you said, plus many possible variations for special diets or requirements.
In alternative, with à la carte menu you always order directly at dinner.

We confirm that the garage is not recommended for large cars. The hotel has three outdoor parking areas, two of which are very large and can accommodate even small vans, with no problems.
Cars of all sizes can park in our underground garage, but extra maneuvering is requested in the periods (high season) when it is nearly full.

We thank you once again for your time and really hope to see you again in the future.

Kind regards,

Paolo Giordano
