I stayed in this hotel on the last leg of a northern Italy trip, just for 2 days with a group of friends. It is a small hotel, but very nice and extremely clean. The rooms were bigger than expected and very well appointed, the toilet with shower cubicle was nice and spotless clean, probably the cleanest toilet I´ve ever seen in a hotel of any category. The breakfast buffet was very nice, plenty of food and choices, but the dinner was absolutely superb: there is a good choice and the food was real home cooking, no hotel food. The staff was really friendly and went out of their way to make our stay the best. I really felt at home here. All of this had already sold it to me, but the views from my room looking the bay were incredible, I kept going out at night to enjoy them and the sound of the sea so near, let´s say it was a late night but definitely worth it!! I will definitely would like to be back to get to know the area better and I will definitely be staying in this hotel again (just hoping they won´t be fully booked). Grazzie mile.

Stayed as part of a tour visiting both Southern France, Monaco and northern Italy. Had a nice room over looking the bay. The hotel is up a hill so wear comfortable shoes when walking down to the town! Access to rail system is in the town and very cheap especially if you're from the UK. There is a cutting for the railway just below the hotel so be aware the view does have a price. the staff are friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was closed during our stay so I cannot comment on it.

Room Tip: Take the sea view if available, the lift is tiny so travel light or get fit if on an upper floor

We stayed at this hotel last year and it was just as good as before. The staff were very good this as this is a family run hotel and they all muck in together.Rooms at the front of the hotel had a very good view of the bay,but the rear rooms suffered from traffic noise if the balcony doors or windows were left open.

This is a great little place to stay. Brilliant views from the balconies across the bay.

Staff are super friendly & helpful. Nice pool, decent breakfast and a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Bit noisy with chair scraping on the tiled floors but that was only a minor problem. Parking is a challenge but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier.

We had 2 nights here and wish it had been longer.

Very reasonable rates!

Not 5 stars but deserves 4.

Room Tip: Balcony is a must. Try top floor to avoid noise from anybody above.

We spent at Piccolo Hotel 8 nights.
Very nice small Hotel with very beautiful sea view from the balcony.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Nice panaramic view from the roof terrace and as a bonus nice pool with sunbeds and umbrellas.
Breakfast very standard, but was enough. Very good offer - 7 days beach fee (1 sunbed, 1 sun chair + 1 umbrella) was 50 Euro. We wanted to have 2 sunbeds - and paid difference straight on the beach as 7 Euro per a day.
The only concern is - you got a railway between Hotel and beach, and during a night it is a bit loud when the train goes by and Hotel is located not in the center so you need to walk ab 15 min from the center - so if you need some night entertainments you need to choose the hotel closer to the center.
I would recommend this hotel for a enjoyable stay.

We stayed at this hotel after picking it from a list of hotels in the area. We were travelling back to the UK so this would be our last night in Italy so we wanted somewhere special and this was it. Welcoming staff, very pleasant and a very good, clean room with an excellent view of the sea and lower town though the walls of the room were very thin and it was possible to overhear quite a lot of talking from other rooms. . The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom, although small, was fully equipped. We parked our car in the hotel car park - in itself quite an adventure as the car park was reached from a steep road, down a very steep drive with a right angled bend in it, through a smallish gate followed by a sharp left turn into the car park! Much more fun trying to get the car out though! We did not eat in the hotel that night built found a very fish restaurant on the beach on half kilometre away. Breakfast (included in the rates) was very good and, unusual for Italian hotels we have found, it was possible to have a cooked breakfast (I had scrambled eggs which were just right). The downside - and there has to be one - the coffee (from a machine) and the fruit juices (also from a machine) must have been the worst I have ever had in Italy. Without being specific it was not good. The fruit juices tasted like those awful powders that one used to be able to get in sachets - just add water - not to my taste at all I'm afraid. The hotel excellent - recommended.
