“Out of season but great for Monaco F1”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

Stayed here as a base to go to Monaco Grand Prix 2014, hotel was very quiet as the season hadn't started yet so the restore itself was still being set up for the year. Private beach had just been restored to use, the swimming pool was cold but the glass surround around the pool area was great when a little bit windy. Rooms are a reasonable size and bathrooms ok but access into showers (no bath) a liitle tight if your not slim due to corner sliding doors but water always hot and plenty of pressure. Being English we were disappointed not to have tea making facilities in the room and with it being out of season getting a cuppa after 9pm was a none starter but the bar across the road seemed to be open 24/7 if you needed a drink of any kind.
There always seams to be a older persons coach party in the hotel who always get food served first which was a bit of a pain but not a major issue...
Food.... breakfast was the same selection of cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurts, scrambled eggs and what passes for bacon plus fruit etc which was ok but after a week it was about as much as I could handle, evening meals were 5 courses every night with a mixture of options which you picked at breakfast... vegetarian options were very limited and as a result omelettes and soup seemed to be the options available ok but not ideal.
Over all a good hotel and would stay there again, staff really nice, friendly and always helpful and asked how you were and wised you a good day. Worth a visit.

Excellent hotel very friendly lovely accommodation and friendly staff. We returned here having spent our honeymoon here 50 years ago, the same family still run the hotel and was very pleased to learn that Parrys International were using the hotel for their coach trip holidays. Our expectations were NOT dashed it was even better than we remembered it. Obviously it had grown in size in 50 years but the family made us just as welcome, and spoilt us with champagne etc.

Diano Marina is a good resort, with little beaches and some amenities. The road traffic is rather heavy, streets difficult to cross because of the lack of pelican crossings and noisy.
Hotel
The positives:
Polite and helpful staff
Large Swimming pool and secluded sea area with a small private hotel area
Plenty of choice for breakfast
Car park
The Negatives:
Outdated and small bathroom
The side rooms are extremely noisy due to almost continuous road traffic
The windows are old and single glazed therefore they do not reduce the noisy from the exterior
Overall not good value for money / expensive hotel

Wonderful hotel perfectly placed in lovely Diano Maria. Very well managed and maintained. Very friendly staff always eager to help, with many speaking English and Russian. Clean, elegant, nicely decorated rooms with air-conditioning and good bathrooms. Good full breakfast (though variety may be improved – which in a way is compensated by superb local bacon if you like bacon and eggs). A great advantage is that beach facilities are free, as in most of other places you should expect to pay at least 30 euros for two persons per day. Parking is also free on the premises (at least another 10 Euros per day of savings). Diano Marina is a really nice village (we visited several on the coast and Diana is definitely one of the best) with a beautiful promenade and a lot of excellent restaurants with reasonable prices. Excellent and always fresh seafood in a great variety. Check out Da Franco on the corner of Via Milano and Via Nizza (5-7 minutes walking from the hotel along the main pedestrian street – starts as Via Genova and later becomes Via Nizza). If you do not mind walking 15 minutes from the hotel along the sea, almost at the very West end of the village across the street from the sea there is a nice, not too touristic restaurant simply called Pizza and Pasta with a covered open deck on the second floor – try mixed grilled fish there. While this great dish is widely available in other places, here in our view it was the best (and perhaps the least expensive). Do not forget to visit a nearby place called Cervo (about 3 km East from the hotel). An amazing midlevel village/fortress on a hill with a beautiful Cathedral on the top (you will see it from the hotel beach). Probably the best way to get there is on a taxi (15 Eros from the hotel), which will take you to the top of the hill from where you can walk down through just amazing narrow streets and passages (getting a taxi to return may be a problem, so you may either order it at a nearby hotel or just walk (took us 45 minutes of a nice walk). Enjoy!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street may be noisy, though the hotel has some special windows/doors which seem to...

Diano Marina is placed in a very nice bay, the weather is bright and sunny, not too warm though (it tends to be too warm in other Italian resorts in the Summer ). This hotel is so comfortable that you can spend all your day in it, enjoying the sea from the private beach, or lazying around by the pool, or having thalasso-therapy treatments at the spa.
Excellent food, nice staff. However, there are many interesting places and sights in the area. Cervo, an amazing medieval village, is a must see. Besides making the view very charming, it is worth visiting, non just seeing from a distance.
From Andora, few miles away, boat trips for whales watching are organized almost every day.
I went with my family and had a wonderful stay.

Bellevue is a very traditional elegant hotel. It is perfectly positioned on the edge of the charming town of Diano Marina.
Our room had fabulous views over the bay and Diano.
The staff are all very welcoming friendly and attentive.
And the private beach, always clean, makes for a great relaxing break

Room Tip: The rooms are either sea view, or partial sea view, both are excellent, we chose the partial as it h...
