“Do not miss the tapestries”
Reviewed 26 February 2013

This is a small Museo located across the the church where you fi d medieval and renaissance belongings of the church. The room of tapestries took my breath away......again as I have found in this wonderful town you can get right up close and examine closely the detail of each stitch.....I rate it as better than the ones in the vatican museum.

“Excellent small collection”
Reviewed 20 July 2012

Statues, manuscripts (large enough to examine), paintings, tapestries, metalwork in a comfortable setting. Little known work that should be well known. In a former church and cloister.

“Beautiful objects, well displayed”
Reviewed 20 July 2012

Beautiful, little-known objects ranging from gigantic tapestries to exquisite small sculptures, large illuminated manuscripts, big statues, impressive paintings..... and it's not so big that it will tire you out.

“Small but important museum”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

Across the street from the Duomo is a small museum with some first class tapestries and medieval art, a room with gold-leafed books of music scored by the monks, and the "white" Madonna and Child.

“Few but interesting objects”
Reviewed 9 February 2012

The museum is hosted in a ancient but partially rebuilt palace in the very cicty centre. Entering the building, you will find a small but very beautiful cloister. The collections are visible in two different areas of the bulding, the first one is basically some stone sculpures and music books dating back to the XVth century. The second part is hosted in a former church and is much more interesting, especially the stunning statue of the 'Madonna of the Pommegranate' and the large tapestries.
