The hotel is not bad. Negresco is adjacent to Villa Grey.it stays on the road, better take garden view, more quiet and beautiful garden. Rooms are small, but new. However, the floor was dirty on our arrival.Beach cabana costs 80 euro per day.

All minuses are for place in general:
- bad sea. We won't come back. Bid waves, yellow color, dirty
- a lot of black merchants that come every minute selling fake Chanel, Gucci...absence of privacy
-bad food. Not typical for Italy

Villa Grey is very special. It's a beautiful boutique hotel - well, a beautifully renovated, gorgeous old hotel overlooking the Mediterranean. Our room was nicely appointed, very quiet and of adequate size (quite a good size for an italian hotel room). It had two large double-glazed windows / doors opening onto our full- width balcony. It was certainly worth paying a bit extra for a sea view room. Just being able to sit out on your own balcony having a drink and staring into the distance was wonderful. There's a beautiful garden at the rear where breakfast is served or where you can sit or lie around later in the day.

We were there a bit before the summer madness and the weather was unseasonably cool. So we didn't use the beach. But the Villa Grey beach bar, bales and facilities all looked great.

But the best thing was the staff. Sara, Giada, Abdul, Claudio and Phillipe were all wonderful; friendly, helpful and attentive. We loved Phillipe. And his accent. Nothing was ever a problem. All our restaurant enquiries and bookings were done for us and the hotel car took us and picked us up from wherever we went. (Bistro, Lorenzo and Tre Stelle were all brilliant for dinner as indicated by the Trip Advisor reviews)

The hotel is 1.5Km from the centre of town which wasn't a down-side at all. We found that riding the hotel bikes into town was the way to go. No problem parking that way and the city is so flat and bike-friendly it made it very enjoyable.

We adored Forte Dei Marmi. its a gorgeous slow-paced town: A beautiful mix of St Tropez, Beverley Hills and Australia's Gold Coast (without the bogans and tack). But we particularly loved Villa Grey.

In general hotel was great! We arrived in the night (earlier than we should) and personel was very kind, even the restaurant was close already, they prepare us light dinner (salad and some fruits)
Because of our unplanned arrival,1st night we slept in small room on ground floor which was really tiny and very loud in the morning, cos it was close to reception and kitchen.
But then we moved on the top floor and room was big enought with very nice lounge zone.
Hotel is very cozy and has very nice design in grey (but very cosy) colors.
Staff was very friendly! Breakfast was good as well.
Hotel has very nice garden and lounge zone. Plus small lounge zone on the roof.
Minuses for us were: there were no swimming pool and the only opportunity was to go to beach area, which belongs to hotel (very nice by the way and the most stylich on the whole coast). And big minus for us was, that u have to pay for it and pay a lot(around 70 euros per day just for place). It would be logical, if guest don't pay for it or at least pay less.We recomend hotel to think of it.
The rest was great!
We didn't visit restaurant, so can say nothing about it.

We would recomend this hotel, especially if management will think of this small point =)

P.S.: not far away from hotel located very very nice restaurant called "Rosmarino" - pasta with lobster is just amazing! We were upset that we've found it only in the end of vacations.

The hotel is new, beautifully decorated, spotless clean and with great facilities. The personnel is very attentive and always there to help. Special mention deserves the beach in front of the hotel, which is absolutely splendid and the beach restaurant. Service on the beach is great. They have their own parking and a generous space for bicycles. We will definitely go back ! Highly recommended !
