Definitely NOT a four star hotel.....first room we were shown (at E1000 per night)...was a box....
we were then upgraded to a much nicer "mini-suite" which had a small circular staircase and two bathrooms. Luggage definitely could not go up....so a lot of running up and down.....
On the upside...bicycles provided were great and in excellent condition......
Staff was phenomenal, especially bubbly waitress and front desk women.....great!
Small, lovely pool.....but Forte is about the beach and the shopping...one giant shopping mall ...every major brand.....beaches so-so..not my favorite....but lots to do....lovely to go up to Pietra Santa 10 minutes away.
Wifi not great and not secure.

Room Tip: Not sure.....be sure sq. ft. of your room is high enough...first room we were shown was appalling...

Dear Guest,
it is a pleausure to read the considerations of an expert reviewer such as yourself.
Staying in Forte dei Marmi and visiting Pietrasanta, with its typical restaurants and cafes and its mix of glamour art and culture, is all the best we can suggest to every visitor.
Through your brief stay, you were able to grasp the true essence of Forte dei Marmi... where everything is somehow special!!
Making our guests feel happy is an ordinary, magical experience that represents the best part of our job.
We hope to do so, not through sumptuosly furnished, extraordinary huge rooms or with majestic services typical of "seven stars" hotels, but through semplicity, courtesy and genuine welcoming spirit.
I'm happy that you were able to feel the real spirit of Villa Roma Imperiale and the passion with which we welcome our guests, elements that go well beyond the dimension of an hotel room...
Anyway, since we understand that at times also accomodation may be particularly relevant, we have created different varieties of rooms to suit all our guests necessities, requirements and expectations.
Thank you for staying with us,
we hope you will visit us again soon,
Elena Maestrelli

Originally we were supposed to stay at Grand Hotel Imperiale, since we always stay in 5-star hotels, but made a mistake in booking (Imperiale in the name of both) and only upon our arrival realized we were in a "wrong" hotel. We could not have done better!!! Villa Roma is a great place to spend your holiday in Forte dei Marmi, the overall attitude of this small boutique hotel is great, the service is magnificent, and there was not a single thing we would consider a weak point. During our stay we also checked all the best hotels in town (including 5-star Principe, Byron, Augustus and even the Grand Hotel Imperiale - our original choice), but only came to realize Villa Roma is the best value for money, with splendid atmosphere and great offer. Next year we come again!

This is my first post on trip advisor as I usually don't rate hotels nor comment but I after my stay at Villa Roma Imperiale I believe this hotel really deserved a comment!

I stayed at Villa Roma Imperiale with my boyfriend for a weekend in late June, it was our first time in Forte Dei Marmi and it was truly an amazing weekend! The hotel is beautiful, we arrived around 8pm on Friday evening, a bit tired from our flight but as we entered the main entrance we were greeted very warmly by the staff. We were shown around the hotel and the interior design is beautiful; elegant and chic with a touch of fusion, we then proceeded outside to the garden and pool where i fell in love with the 'day beds' from Bali, I was already looking forward to spending the next day by the pool! We arrived in our Prime Deluxe room which once again mirrored the excellent taste in interior design, cosy and perfect for a couple! That evening the owner of the hotel recommend we dined at The Fratellini's, we both enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend it, the fish is superb and they even had a sushi menu.

The next morning we arrive downstairs to a beautiful breakfast, a round big table full of EVERYTHING! There was all sorts of delicious food and I was extremely amazed with the selection of delicious fruit, I thought I was pushing the line when I asked for soy milk but they had it along with many other products for celiacs and lactose intolerants, my boyfriend asked for a special fruit smoothie which they made within the second using fresh fruit. We then spent the day by the pool which was delightful, for lunch we had a light salad provided by the hotel which was absolutely perfect and then a delicious 'café shekerato' (cold expresso with ice), I have had my fair share but this by far one of the best made by Andrea! It didn't end there, at around 6 we decided to take a walk into the centre of Forte, the hotel have a collection of bikes for the cliental which are adorable so we decided to go for a nice bike ride down along the beach. We came back and were greeted by aperitivo (aperitif), once again we were extremely happy with the delicious bites they brought to us, a mix of various crostini, omelette's, a delicious farro salad and so much more!

It was difficult leaving the morning after as we really enjoyed our short stay at the hotel but as it remains Villa Roma is my first choice in Forte Dei Marmi. Whether your alone, a couple or with a family the hotel and staff will make your stay enjoyable and will provide top service.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view of the pool and garden!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's like staying in your own home or Villa without the aggravation. The staff were all charming and the service was quietly competent without being obtrusive. The garden area is lovely and it's easy to find a quiet place to relax. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk into the centre of town. Breakfasts were very nice and the complimentary afternoon tea is a nice touch. The only downside is that most of the rooms are on the small side. The hotel is very well maintained and the decor is stylishly neutral throughout. It's not cheap for what you get but Forte Dei Marme is not the place to go if you are on a budget. The town itself does seem to have become a very expensive suburb of Moscow although that didn't bother us at all !

Room Tip: Most of the rooms we saw were quite small so if you want something a bit larger make sure you check...

My husband and I spent 6 nights at the Villa Roma in early June and it is one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in. Everything from the location, ambiance and service was perfect. The Villa is located in a quiet area about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Forte dei Marmi which made for a very pleasant stroll in the evenings although lots of people cycled and the hotel had bikes for rent. We had booked a romantic double and were staying in Room 22 on the first floor. Like the rest of the hotel, which was absolutely spotlessly clean, it was decorated in beige and creams giving it a really cool and calming feel. The room was a decent size with marble floor, canopied bed, ample wardrobe space with lots of hangers. The bathroom was also a decent size with walk in shower and a lovely box of nice toiletries and good lighting. We had a large balcony with table and chairs which overlooked the gardens and pool area.
The gardens were beautifully maintained with a very nice pool area. There was a mixture of loungers, deck chairs, and chairs and tables round the pool with some more double beds in the garden. As we are not really beach people we were delighted to have such a nice area to relax in.
Breakfasts at the Villa which are included in the room rate have to be one of the best buffet breakfasts we have had. There was a large selection of different fruits, yoghuts, cereals etc with cold meats and cheese. Bacon and another hot dish were available and eggs of any kind could be cooked to order. There were also lots of different breads, pastries and lovely cakes. It was served on the terrace overlooking the gardens so a lovely outlook to start the day. But what really made the breakfasts extra special was the service by Fabrizia and Elisa who were so friendly, cheerful and willing to help. The Villa also did a complimentary tea and cake service between 5 and 6 every afternoon.
Finally - the service. Everyone we encountered, from breakfast staff to reception staff and cleaning staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Staff on reception helped with restaurant bookings, bus timings and even getting a new lock for our suitcase after we had stupidly locked the key in our case the day we arrived and had to get it cut off!
Cannot recommend the Villa Roma Imperiale highly enough to anyone thinking of staying in Forte Dei Marmi.

Room Tip: Some of the other rooms that we saw into did seem a lot smaller than the one had so perhaps worth pa...

Dear travelers,

With such a great pleasure I would like to share my excitment about stay in Villa Roma Imperiale!!!
We've spent there 3 fantastic days from 28.08-01.09, but these memories will stay with me forever...
First of all warm, sincere and helpful staff, the main reason why this hotel has his own spirit and soul!
The second factor is, of cource, high level service, everything starts from check in procedure, room make up, set up at breakfast etc.
The third is finest interior decision (color spectrum, furniture, floral compositions, small decorative elements...)
Certanly I shouldn't forget to mention comfortable location, fabulous territory around the hotel and sence of harmony I felt there!
Dear Villa Roma Imperiale TEAM, Thank you so much for such a great pleasure and emotions!
