Enjoyed the taster menu, a selection of the starters and main course, including free glass of wine while browsing the menu. Great atmosphere, good typical italian food with delicious steak from the barbeque, very child-friendly (my son wanted something that wasn't on the menu - they made it, no problem).
Dessert was a little disappointing. You need to book if you'd like the nicest outdoor tables.

A great place for any party. Great atmosphere, super staff, good prices and good food and drink. They never seize to amaze, whenever we go there are our favorite drinks on the table, like Prosecco on ice, good red wine and if something is missing they will bring it right away. On many evenings they have live music and they organize special theme nights. G when you're in a party mood!

Thank gluon

We had the distinct pleasure of having a huge lunch at Hostaria la Cross.

It’s off the beaten track but definitely worth the 1 Km walk from the city centre.

The place is a real authentic trattoria with a lively atmosphere and all the classical dishes you expect in such a place.

We went for the set menu (30€) – and what a menu. It was like the dishes just kept coming and it was a FANTASTIC tour-de-force to be taking part in…. Polenta with sausage, various cold cuts, chicken, carpaccio and eegs with mushrooms….just for starters.

Afterwards 3 different servings of Pasta – with my favorit being a very generous gnocchi with truffles dish with so much truffels that I can still almost taste it….. GREAT!!

Believe it or not but then came 5-6 different cuts of meat and chicken grilled with roasted potatoes and veggies. It was more than even I could handle.

Wisely enough the menu did not include dessert (but we got 3 different kinds of Italian homemade cakes) but we took an esspresso to round off the lunch.

If I should mention a few things to improve it even further, then I would not serve a slice of lettuces with every single dish (even the butter) – let the food stand for itself ….. and (this is the first time ever I find myself saying this) many serve a little smaller dishes 

Wine and water was also very reasonably prices (Bardolino Rosso 12€ for a bottle).

Bravissimo – The value for money ratio is hard to beat.

Highly recommended

I had read other recommendations on trip advisor, so headed to this restaurant for lunch. As I walked gently uphill on the road that leads out of town, I checked my googlemap once to make sure I hadn't gone too far. You go through one roundabout then continue on to the next smaller roundabout where you will find it on you right just on the other side tucked back in a bit. I almost turned back...it took a out 25 mins...not difficult, just longer than I had expected. Am I glad I didn't!

I ordered an insalata mista which was fresh with lots of things in it, and asked the waiter which pasta was the best. When he told me they had a pasta with truffles, (it wasn't on the menu) I was sold! When it arrived there were lots of fresh truffles shaved on the top.

It was fantastic!!! I ate every morsel. The staff was excellent and my meal was totally enjoyable. Am I glad I didn't turn back halfway up the hill to settle for something less. You must try this place.
