“Italy at its best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2011

This hotel is situated a short walk from the lake and the town. The room we had was large enough, but in hindsight would have chosen one with a balcony. The bathroom was clean and tidy, the linen and towels were changed frequently. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The evening meals were excellent and the choices were never repeated during a 14 night stay. The quality of the food was excellent, the only problem was the pasta starters were large - however perfectly cooked. The wine list is good and well priced.

Room Tip: Go for a room on the first or second floor with a balcony.

Chosen because of it's location in Garda so that we could walk into the town but also because it had a car park for guests. Only realy used it for sleeping in as we were out at Verona, Venice etc. Decor etc was somewhat dated but not to the point of being scruffy.
Pleasant staff.

We upgraded to an air-conditioned room which was well worth it. The accommodation was very clean, and the staff were very helpful. The food was what you would expect from a three star hotel, but was fine. The pool was cold, but well maintained. My daughter loved it. It was an easy walk into the main area of Garda, and we really enjoyed strolling around the bars, cafes, and shops in the evening. Getting arounfd the area was fun using the boats, and we went to Gardone, and took a trip around the Lake by coach. Venice and Verona were also visited. These were offered as extras by Thomson in conjunction with the holiday .The climb up La Rocca is steep, and not the highlight of our holiday!
Would definately return back to the Hotel, and especially the Garda area.

Room Tip: Go for air-con

As others have said a clean family run hotel. Good location just a few minutes walk from the lake and restaurants. I would say food was rustic and fairly bland and I didn't like the idea of having to pay a 4 euro supplement if I wanted a cooked breakfast. Apart from a couple of other families with children, the majority of the guests were aged 60+.One fellow resident took exception to our two boys (8 and 10) splashing in the hotel pool at 6pm as she couldn't read her book on the balcony.

I was very impressed with this hotel- the rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the staff were fantastic. They were all very friendly, and willing to go to any lengths to make you comfortable. The pool area has been newly renervated, and was really nice and refeshing, particularly on a hot day! Furthermore, the food was fantastic; you picked from a list of three starters, mains and desserts every day, as well as having a salad buffet, and I loved every dish I had there. I also enjoyed the gala meal on the Friday, and the live music supplied twice weekly. I also loved the location; it was two minutes walk from the lake front, so in a quiet area but close enough the to numerous cafes and restaurants. There is a small supermarket down the road where you can get water and snacks, and you are able to climb the rocker mountain from the hotel ( a tough walk, but beautiful views!) All in all, I would definately reccomend this hotel to people of all ages, as it is great value for money, very comfortable and welcoming, and in an absolutely fabulous location with something for everyone.

Room Tip: I would definately recomend paying extra for air con- well worth it!

this was our second time returning to Hotel Bisesti, Garda. It is a gorgeous hotel with a 2 minute walk to the lake. food is great, and you have plenty of options. hotel staff are very friendly and always very helpful, it obvious they love to create a lovely atmosphere for their guests. the rooms are always spotless and of a good size even the smaller, cheaper ones. we are already planning our return visit for next year. we strongly recommend this hotel to anyone of any age.

Room Tip: read the website which provides helpful infomation on room sizes and facilities available.

First trip outside of Austria after 17 years. Location of hotel is great, Pool great, Staff friendly but Evening Food Absolutely Diabolical, Often cold when served, Very poor quality and when complaint made to "Head Waitor" (Joke), and informed him we would no longer be eating at evenings due to poor standard of food, he made some non-descriptive note on his hand held device bu t did nothing else, and Hotel Staff did not enquire why we chose not to eat, Spent a fortune outside at evening mealtimes to feed us. Not Happy. Beware if you have Room 116 with a balcony as you will be overlooking a back yard, toilet, large fire escape and a huge rusty tin roof of an outbuilding. Also beware if booking for a single as charged a supplement for such a room - Room 154 measured 6ft by 15ft. How can they charge for a room which was no bigger than a broom cupboard and couldn't possibly be used as a double which we were charged for. You have been warned. be careful what you think you may have booked and what you actually receive.

Room Tip: beware of room 116 with balcony - not nice and room 154 single room - tiny
