“Beautiful holiday”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

Lago di Garda - Lake Garda, is a very large lake in Northern Italy. Surrounded by small towns which are worth visiting, no matter which one to use as your base. Ferry boats on the Lake are a bit expensive so use the buses which travel between all the towns and you get to see more of the country by bus. I visited in May which was before the high season so it is a little cooler and less busy then. Each of the towns have an ample supply of good restaurants, hotels and architecture.

“Very peacefull off season destination”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

We've visited Lago in mid-september, which was imho very wise idea. It was very peaceful, no crowds or queues (except Monte Baldo) as well as not so busy traffic. Roads around the lake are narrow with very little chance to overtake slow bus or truck. And of course, water still okay to jump into.

We took a restive day trip along the east side of the lake, enjoying the architecture, fresh air, water birds, picnic, gelato, and fascinating towns with abounding photo treasures.

“Beautiful and relaxing”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

Not many people know of these towns surrounding Lago DiGarda. They're beautiful and the lake is clean and very pretty. We were in the town called Peschiera the morning and then went to Verona, an hour away. Just walking and enjoying the view and the gelattos.
